Like it or not, everyone doesn’t agree with you. And most people want women making that decision, not the government. Do you think it’s reasonable forcing birth on rape survivors or pregnant women who have dead fetuses inside them? Or even poor women who can’t afford to raise a child. After all, it’s not like our country takes care of babies or children or the mothers. We don’t even have universal childcare or healthcare.
Besides, the Bible says life begins with the first breath (see Genesis), and Jesus never spoke to the contrary. Take it or leave it, it’s your book. Abortion is not against every religion. Why should Catholic teachings be forced on others? And why shouldn’t a Catholic president be a president for all the people, not just those of his own religion?
