Totally agree. This man is inhabited. I immediately had a strange feeling when I listened to it for the first time in the interpretation O holy Night. His Viking side, this majestic combination of his immense personality moves the understanding. He would make me believe that he changes water into wine that I would believe it because he is so determined to bring the best to what he does to bring us the salvation that we all need. My god!!! this feeling of peace. This metal side only enhances the power of this song. He understood that. He employs the best side of metal in these interpretations. What a performer. What strength in the power of his faith in his voice. We fear him so much we respect him. It's a free electron. I'm repeating myself but he understood everything. His power of attraction far exceeds that of a singer. He tasted the bread of the Lord Jesus

You can definitely see Dan’s classical training by his posture. Especially when he’s belting something out; he stands very tall, straight, and his chest his pushed out. Simply brilliant performance! You might think about watching him sing Nessun Dorma (all opera, no metal) by Puccini’s Turandot. It was made very famous by the late, great Pavarotti. However, I’m biased and prefer Dans version. The double lights behind him are significant. Could the lights indicate the wings of an angel? Seeing Dan standing in front of the shining lights helps us imagine just a little of what the shepherds may have experienced as the multitudes of angels came from realms of glory to announce Christ's birth.

Amazing performance by Dan. He sings in Latin, Italian, German, Portuguese and English. The choral background is made up of Dan's voice/s. His "Nessun Dorma" is also fabulous. His "Hallelujah Chorus" One Man Choir is mind boggling. So glad you enjoyed it. Hoping for more Dan reactions, thankyou😃

It's Dan...what's not to love? Lol. His Christmas music is just as amazing as his other works. I think I saw a TH-cam video where someone put Dan's version of this Christmas carol to their outdoor lights display, too.
If you loved this one, you'll probably love his version of Adeste Fideles (O Come All Ye Faithful in Latin), if for no other reason than that finale. It's Springtime, but I'm still pulling those songs up to listen occasionally. Loved your reaction. 😊

Thanks for this terrific reaction to the phenomenal Dan! This is one of my very favorite tracks (though it's sooo hard to choose!). It's so exceedingly gorgeous and joyous. Others have explained about the languages (5 counting Latin in the choruses). Great reaction. This is in five langurages: first verse - Italian; second verse - German; third verse - Portuguese (Dan's native tongue); fourth verse - English (of course), and the chorus is in Latin. Dan is phenomenal!

The languages I'm singing in are Italian, German, Portuguese and English. I chose these because they are some of the languages most spoken by you. So chances are you'll understand something! Merry Christmas!

Those languages are shown in the order in which they are sung.
The FIFTH language he uses in this song -- LATIN -- is ALWAYS used for the refrains (the "Glorias") -- no matter in what language the verses are sung.

Dan actually SPEAKS English & Brazilian Portuguese (he was born, raised, and still lives in Brazil). Plus, he is 1/4 Italian, through his father and grandmother, so he has learned at least SOME of the Italian with which he sings Verse 1. The German version (Verse 2), he learned in order to sing it for this production.
Dan also says that he's been working on his Italian more, since recording and posting that song on December 16, 2021.
Verse 3 is in Dan's native language (Brazilian Portuguese), and Verse 4 is obviously in English.

Another thing about the "Glorias," It's basically a rule, with any conductor, that you do NOT take a breathe in the middle of any one of them! You may only take a quick breath before singing the (still Latin) words, "in excelsis deo".
The entire phrase ("Gloria in excelsis Deo") means "Glory to God in the Highest," OR "Glory to God Most High."

Thank you for your great reaction to this wonderful performance by Dan Vasc. His voice is glorious. He has become my favorite artist. I will come back every time you bring us a Dan reaction. He has a great song that he performed with members of Petra, the Christian Rock group. Dan credits listening to John Schlitt sing is what made him want to become a singer. He was about 19 at the time and went on to take voice training for many years, and boy, it paid off. The song I Beyond Belief. I think you will enjoy. He says it was the highlight of his career at that point in time.
