      What gets me is that the excuse for cramming Biden down our throats in 2020 was that the only thing that mattered was beating Trump. But, now all that matters is that he gives it his "goodest" effort.

      @@USA-GreedyMenOfNoIntegrity The problem with folks like you, is that you live in a bubble. Never great compared to who, exactly? Which country are you referring to that doesn't have skeletons in its closet? Japan? Germany? France? England? China? All have histories (and recent histories) full of blood and violence and prejudice. Of course America has flaws. Of course there are parts of our history that we'd like to forget. But when you take a broader view and look at all countries, the USA has a remarkably clean and progressive record. It was the USA that pushed for global decolonization. It was the USA that established democracy as the global standard. It is the USA that has been at the head of the most peaceful era in human history (1945 - 2024). The USA has also led the way in the largest increase in standards of living around the world ever. The USA is the largest contributor of humanitarian assistance and international aid. This is the voters' fault. IDGAF about their "but Trump" nonsense, his political record spanned over 40 years and was widely publicly available to anyone that bothered to avail themselves of it. This includes his war crimes, his Zionism, his racism, and his corruption. Furthermore, his obvious onset of Alzheimer's was also abundantly apparent all the way back in 2019 during the beginning of the primaries. So there was never any excuse to vote for this man. People COULD have chosen to withdraw their support from the Democrats after they rigged their primaries against Bernie Sanders, starve the party out of existence, and organize at the grassroots to support third parties to replace the Democrats. It's been done before. Instead, voters were complacent and comfortable and thought they had checked their "good deed" boxes by voting for the Democrat. Now 50,000 Palestinians and an entire generation of Ukrainians have suffered, and I blame the voters. It's not just the media, the DNC, and the propaganda to blame. At the end of the day, the voters still went to the polls and checked the box for Genocide Joe. We could be 7 years into a Sanders administration and have healthcare, housing justice, fair wages, labor unions, and NOT be doing a genocide in Palestine. There is blood on every Biden supporter's hands. They deserve Trump.

    courts have ruled, after lawyers sued the dems on behalf of the Sander's campaign, that the democratic party is a private corporation and can change their rules whenever they like for whatever reason they like. For example, the democratic party's executive committee could simply add a rule that the presidential nominee must submit and pass a neurological test or be disqualified. All of a sudden there would be an open convention. They could do this after the convention and make up a rule that allows the executive committee to choose their favorite candidate instead.

    • @SmallSpoonBrigade
      @SmallSpoonBrigade 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Which is true, but also a massive loophole. If these parties are going to be private, then they shouldn't have any say on which candidates appear on the ballot. Around here, the parties sued the state because of the primary method and successfully got it tossed. They then we chose a top two system where the top 2 vote getters of any party affiliation advance to the general election. Which in many parts of the state that hadn't been competitive are competitive and the less extreme of the candidates has usually been the one that won since then.
      And some municipalities have gone even further with ranked choice voting coming to Seattle in the near future.

    *1 of 2. This is how you always need to vote:*
    We must fully resist and _always vote_ *against* (& less authoritarian than) both the Republican *and* Democratic Parties- including AOC, all of the squad, Bernie Sanders, Edward Markey, Mark Pocan, the justice democrats, Biden & all other democrats. Vote in every single election- at all levels. And also _endorse or anti-endorse,_ in all elections you can, for outside your voting jurisdiction.
    For _all_ public positions. And this same strategy applies against the same one or more party-monopolies in _all_ countries worldwide.
    Real progressives will never be Democratic Members or Democratic loyalists. Never vote for _any_ Republican member or loyalist either.
    If no candidates for a position fit that bill:
    -Where _write-ins_ are permissible, always write-in an anti-authoritarian person;
    -Where write-ins aren’t permissible, always vote uncommitted or leave the ballot blank.
    This will continuously reduce the power of _all_ authoritarian parties in the party monopolies. Until our task is complete.
    Repeat strategy for all new authoritarian parties that emerge.

      That's the most blind, idiotic idealism I've seen in a long time. You do know the entire system is owned, right? The media, the voting machines... if you believe voting is the answer you're still asleep.

    Gotta be honest, this makes me like Biden more. He is the Dem party's chosen candidate. To the extent the DNC refused to allow a primary or entertain any other candidates. Now that he's polling behind they immediately want to toss him. F@#$ off! This is the guy you chose, rally with him and do the best you can to help him win and if that doesn't happen so be it.
