The campaign in this game is so good, it's the same thing with something like Game of thrones, there isn't a protagonist, so when you switch sides, you will see the story on both sides.
+JuSt_ChRiS00 they were originally designed as anti-ship, anti-sub craft because they can move at such high speeds they could intercept faster than any other ship or sub. but later on they were converted to landing craft because the Soviet battle plan for WW3 was to secure the Baltic sea by capturing Scandinavia. only 5 were produced however. this mission perfectly shows how they would have been used.

Man WiC really did a great job of not making any one unit the clear winner in terms of usefulness or joy to play, I love the vehicles but I will never get tired of Infantry rockets just *SLAPPING* armor (it even sounds a little bit like a slap too lol).
This is the prime example of soviet failure at strategic decision ``you don`t invade Scandinavia in winter unless you have a death wish`` soviet might have won against finland but it was a pyrrhic victory XDDDDD (no offense meant of course)
I really don't like how you pace the mission. In campaign you get arty points quickly, and you are meant to abuse it and even provide CAS for the team which missed landing zone. I always liked how you can snipe enemy forces with arty. Or same with Seattle and Dome, you can basically spam artillery left and right and wrecks some serious shit in other zones. Or holding the bridge in US campaign, and assisting troops at fords. Norwegian landing reminds me dearly Ground Control II beach head assault mission, an offensive by NSA.
Does the game ever explain why the war doesn't go nuclear? I know there's the SDI programme in Fort Teller, but how come NATO and France didn't deploy nuclear warheads in Europe?
Really a good mission. but the real question is: for which faction you cheer? America/NATO or Russia? I cheer for NATO because is the good "guy". But why it is always Russia the attacker in all strategic "historical" war games? Ok, Communism sucks but every time the same story (The Russia attack because it is bad etc .. etc ...) after a while become boring. However, the game is beautiful and interesting (I don't like the RTS, because they are chaotic and in the end it's sufficient have more troops than your opponent to win, see Age of Empires and Empire Earth, but it's still nice when played by a player who know how to act. Please do not kill me in the comments. Bye.

they're actually real, the Lun Erkanoplan. I don't think they actually were used as transports but they did have asms on them as seen in the video

Those seaplanes are real. Not a lot of them were made but there is one in Kazakhstan I think.
