I have also made a video on a different type of book scanner (Plustek OpticBook 4900). You can check out the video here: th-cam.com/video/OwBB4oUQ4jM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DsJbRuFMacHQOoh5
bother you with some doubts.. I'm thinking about getting it, how does the word export work? will it recognize foot notes as foot notes? page numbers? would it auto-assign page numbers? how about front page/covers? thank you in advance!
It’s not advanced enough to recognize foot notes and page numbers. Scanning to word typically would likely require you to do a lot of manual formatting.
Does every letter of a page become searchable? The only reason I would buy this is if it makes every single letter searchable. I assume once you finish taking pictures, the CZUR program will turn it into a file? And you would be able to open the file with Adobe Reader?
It's pretty good making blocks of text readable. I think it can sometimes have trouble with decorative fonts or vertical text. The PDF stores the image overlayed upon the text. This allows you to see the image but you can select the text behind it. It can also make mistakes, or misread characters. It will do better on high quality type.
It's absolutely watchable. Literally nothing wrong with this video except it didn't do colour scanning, and didn't spend enough time on the finished project. Also, those little dots could be removed by adjusting the contrast.
@@Martial-Mat Are there any specific types of color items (comic book, magazine, etc...) that you would like to see tested? As far as finished projects you would like to see, would that be a full searchable PDF or something else? I tried to make a somewhat broad video but I would like to make more videos focusing on specific things.
@@Rickmakes I am interested in archiving old computer magazines containing photos. Some are slightly larger than A3 but their UK agent says if you life the scanner, you can scan bigger than A3. I'd love to know how large you you can get away with. Yes, definitely interested in a full searchable document. Both Word and PDF as I might require editability. For instance, I noticed your OCR made some mistakes, so they would need to be correctable. Thanks.

Can you open the finished product on Adobe Reader?
Sorry, unwatchable
Which part made it unwatchable?
