I’ve seen other primates do that so you may be right. It’s not as obvious here but the other situations I’ve seen is when the Alpha of a troop is eating while being surrounded by youngsters or high ranking troop members. You can clearly see him let the food fall from his mouth as he bites. It’s a clever way to distribute food to favorite troop members while not appearing to do so. It minimizes arguments in the troop although I doubt you’d have many arguments here as there is plenty of food for the entire family. Interesting observation.
@ yes i know. But if a human stuffed a mouthful of dry lettuce in there you would have a difficult time with it. At some point you would need to drink water but gorillas rarely drink anything. Its definitely a key difference between us and them.
@@trenkenI wouldn’t have trouble swallowing a bunch of “dry” lettuce. The weight of Lettuce is mostly water and it leaves moisture in my mouth as I chew it. I just grabbed a piece of lettuce out of my refrigerator. I chewed and swallowed it no problem, it’s very moist. 🤷🏼

Ringo現在自己的食物都顧得很好，只有小J哥哥讓他防不勝防，悄悄奪走一片菜菜啦🦍～😅 Iriki 媽媽拿好食物過來，Ringo 本來在看另一邊，回過頭來，瞥見媽媽手上的大黃瓜，正當媽媽吃得很開心時，不動聲色的奪走大黃瓜，然後馬上跑走，讓媽媽也踤不及防啊🦍💓～😆 然後還跑到壕溝下面好好享用，媽媽在上面看，也覺得兒子不會餓到啦🦍～😆 是說；人類有“女兒賊”，金剛猩猩的“兒子賊”也是很厲害，很有趣的喔🦍🦍💕～🤣
後來小R還跟小J哥哥一左一右的站在爸爸後面，伺機而動啊🦍🦍💞～😂 最後有撿走幾片爸爸掉下的菜菜，也不錯啦🦍～😁
Its amazing they dont choke eating tons of dry lettuce like that. Gorillas rarely drink water. Very different than humans.
