This song was my very first introduction to The Warning through a reaction video from a vocal coach. I was absolutely floored and decided to check out more from them. Evolve was the 2nd song I watched and was completely hooked on the band. I then proceeded on my journey of discovery where I went back to their earlier days and worked back up to the Error album and I believe that allowed a greater appreciation for where they are now.
*Fun Fact:* The majority of the songs on *Error* (latest album) were written in 2019. The were ready to go into the studio to record *Error* in 2020. They did an Kickstarter Campaign in 2019 to raise funds for studio time & their first North American tour (2020). That was canceled. The song *More* & the two songs *("Sick" & "Hell You Call a Dream")* are the first ones written past the pandemic. Both new ones are bangers.
This song was released in 2021 as a single and is on the ERROR album. We learned that this was a bit of a challenge for Dany to record. Pau had reservations about the high notes that were written into the vocals, but Dany insisted that she was up to the challenge. She worked with producer David Bendeth on the vocals and the results as you can hear were on a different level. You ain’t heard nothing yet though - a couple of new songs were debuted during their current tour in Mexico which display Dany’s ascension to rock vocals goddess.
I saw them on their 2022 tour. The place was packed to the rafters, probably broke fire codes. The sisters blew the roof off the place. They are simply amazing. And Dany's voice keeps getting more powerful--you just have to wonder where they will end up. By the way, you will love the MV too. There you also get to see some of Pau's more subtle drum work, including some mind-blowing fills.
I want this entire concert to be made into a box set in 4K with lyrics, pictures of the band, the crew, the stage set up, and individual professional photos of Dany, Pau, and Ale. The Teatro show is a masterpiece, everything about it is perfect. I would much rather listen to these songs performed live at Teatro, than the studio versions, I know that most of The Warning Army would. Thank you for a great reaction, and for helping to bring The Warning's music to more people. ⚡⚡⚡

The Metropolitan Choke is absolutely Thunder and lightening just like you phrased it RC. Definitely my all time favorite song. Choke was the very first song l heard of the Warning the MV cut. It just grabbed me and l am greatful for that. DPA rocks!
They're superhuman. My personal superheroine nicknames for the gals are The Lioness, Mighty Mite, and Thunder Woman. They're a legit phenomenon. Every tune takes you somewhere you don't expect, and is full of delightful little surprises.
Studio version is really good. Live version is great. They manage to bring more energy to everything live. In the studio version all of the vocals are Dany. Live Ale has the short vocal solo.
You're one of the more interesting TW reactors. Hopefully TWA will flood your subscription soon and increase the number by a couple thousands. Cheers! 🤘
The Warning are vocally at a level right now that very few band ever reach, having all three being able to sing as well as they do, is amazing! Bringing harmony vocals back with a vengeance!
For some time, many of us have referred to Ale as the Thunder, Dany as the Lightning and Pau as the Eye of the Storm. The lyrics of Choke changed a piece of my world view. It’s about letting oneself feel all of the emotions to pass through the pain. In my own opinion, it means to not gaslight people with phrases like, “Are you good?”, meaning “Get over it”. The imagery is frightening.
Dani has always been a good singer. This is the song that proved to me that she is a great singer. A top-tier rock vocalist, with range and power. And lots of passion.
Their closing song to their concerts is Evolve. To me that is the song to see. It has a terrific riff. To me this band has really good riffs their songs.
*Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help... "just let me drown" in my troubles... "advice is overpriced"... i'll get through it my way, don't try to help... it is a song about emotional and mental strength... other original songs of similar nature are TW's *Evolve* and *Survive* (which you may have already seen) 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

After Watching Mr "Rock Candy's" reaction to choke with the riff etc. I think he needs to watch Z and see how they open the concert. That one sends the message to get ready ....... Its a real rocker and Dany at least gets to do a guitar solo.
This is such a great song I'm glad you watched the live version first because you can see who's singing when and you'll notice how good this sounds compared to the MV which is badass. Ale stepping up with a vocal solo was a treat as well. 🔥 The MV blew our collective minds when it came out we really noticed Dany had upped her game big time. 🔥The drumming is strong Pau kills it here but the MV shows a closer view of her fills.🔥 Thanks RC 🤘⚡🔥⚡
I know you’re new to TW and have focused on Teatro Metropolitan live show, which is great. However if you really want to see what they can do you need to try some of their earlier shows and albums. The Queen of the Murder Scene has some of their best works. Also they have some shows from small venues that show their talent and ability to rock with the best of them. The Dakota bar show is a classic and The Whiskey A Go Go from 2020 is superb. They have many songs that are as good as Choke and flat out rock. Runaway, Shattered Heart, Red Hands Never Fade, Ugh(Rebel Lounge show), and Dull Knives. Seriously two things are true for these ladies, they don’t have a bad song and often the song you are listening to is your favorite. I look forward to your reactions and input. Welcome to TWA. 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘

Listening to the live version one can hear the correct mix in terms of harmonies , which is sadly lacking on the studio version , and others . Lets hope that this does not happen on their next album .

The latest album release in June 2022, so over a year ago and the new album will probably not be released until spring or summer of 2024, maybe.
