This is the best fireplace video because it's actually of a real fire - not just a fire on loop with fire-like sounds playing in the background. It's framed nicely too, so your TV gives the illusion of being a real fireplace. I put this on every night while I'm reading or on my computer.

You would never expect something as simplistic as a fire to be so relaxing. I think in today's society we take the simple things, like nature and the elements, for granted and don't appreciate them as much as we should.
I actually thanked the man for putting another log on the fire! I love that it's in real time and not on a loop. I have fire smoke scented candles that make it complete! Even my dog likes it...sleeping on the braided rug in front of it. Thank you.

I'm in a small apartment 4 floors above the beach in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Outside, it's raining heavily and cold: 11ºC/51ºF outside and bone chilly here inside, since I've not moved much for several hours seated in front of this screen. Among all the fireplace videos I've tried on TH-cam, This IS the best! Thank you. (For me, interestingly, it's the sound that evokes having a real fire going in a fireplace. I feel warmer.)
For medical reasons I have to avoid being around fireplaces. Being exposed to the dry heat and fireplace smoke affects me in a bad way! Robin Adams What you need is: www.amazon.com/Apple-MD826ZM-Lightning-Digital-Adapter/dp/B009WHV3BM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418799714&sr=8-1&keywords=hdmi+to+lightning as well as an HDMI cord going form the converter to your TV (or you could use VGA with a different converter). The fact that your USB charger will plug into a slot on your TV doesn't mean it will display through that because for this context it is not supposed to for whatever reason.

Love this video. Had my Pandora Christmas station on in the background and read a historical fiction on Kindle. Naturally when "Jim" (see previous comment from fans) whom I refer to as "James", would stoke the fire, I'd smile and imagine him to be my footman. Only thing lacking was Mrs. Abernathy coming in with tea and scones, with fresh clotted cream. Or should the butler bring a hot buttered rum?

Thank you so much for this video. When we looked for a believable fireplace video, all we found were endless loops of the same short video, where the fire never changed or looked real. Then we found this and were blown away! We burned a "campfire memories" incense to get a suggestion of the smoky smell and watched it twice. It made our Christmas Day; thank you again.
Living in Houston it's ALWAYS hot so we never run our fireplace. We played the video and put the laptop in the fireplace. Really great video. Enjoyed having someone else mess with the fire and us just sit back and relax
The coolest thing about watching fireplace videos on a 55 plasma TV is that you can actually come close to the TV and feel the heat! :) Its true. Try it! Plasma TVs warm up quite a bit. I haven't tried on my newer LED, but the plasma in my large cold loft in the city was the perfect virtual fireplace!

Bunkered down in my room covered in a thick silk blanket and wearing a headset, The Road in hand and Rainymood looping in the background, changed the sound settings to have it appear behind and slightly to my left where my closed window actually is, and the fire in front. An hour past midnight in a pitch black room, save for the fireplace video looping in mute on my TV screen in front of me, and several cans of ice cold coke in a fridge box next to me. You people have no idea how immersingly realistic this looks, sounds and feels.
