- How fast we can Black Border Resort on a NEW Account in BTD6! This Level 1 Account has to start with NO unlocks and BEAT Bloons TD 6! We have to Beat every BTD6 game mode including Half Cash, Impoppable, Apopalypse and CHIMPS in order to get a Resort Black Border. Do you think Resort CHIMPS or One Two Tree Half Cash will give us more problems in this BTD6 Black Border Speedrun?

How fitting. This is the map i am currently farming for the sapper achievement. Last time I checked on it, I was at 64% completion, with every freeplay go giving me about 2%. Personally, I would rather see you branch out on this account and attempt the occassional boss, race, and odyssey on camera! And heck, if you are that worried about the upgrading process, you COULD show us what tower upgrades you unlocked before starting whatever was on the docket for that episode!

is such a god awful grinding achievement, the only fast way is to grind on freeplay without any insta-kill or fortified strip upgrades
I've never been hooked into a series so fast. I look forward to this everyday. It started as a sleep video but now I wait for it to be uploaded. ALSO I never have the attention span for a long video but this is a new story you never stop commenting on whats going on and I feel included in the videos. MORE PLEASE

I know it takes a lot of time to make these videos but I'm really loving this series! I haven't really watched any of your older content besides the long stream vids, but you have an entertaining personality so I'm sure if you did go back to posting your older content more it'd still be fun to watch.

For those interested. On Deflation mode, you can use the following on pretty much every map in the game and it works (with some change to spare). Helped me speed run an otherwise boring game mode :)
1 x 220 Village
2 x 203 Ace (in range of the village)
1 x 401 Alchemist (buffing both Ace and in range of the village)
025 crossbow maser works alone!
I think Splits are a good idea, let’s you know what sections you tend to struggle with most to get better. Also, at the end of each map type, you can look at what maps had your best splits to really give your all on the best map. It’s only going to help strategize better to have more info on what worked best for you in the past.
Hey Dabloon. It's great to hear how soon the baby's coming.
One tip for placing Etienne, since the projectiles don't come from the tower you don't have to place him right next to the track which can free up some space.
I'd say go for out of order, especially since it will speed up getting the monkey knowledge, which will allow for even faster times.
Also, I will continue advocating for splits. You may find that you like them, at the very least with splits for each of the 3 borders, since you're already using time benchmarks in your head for those.
Never watched you before getting recommended these videos, haven't even played the game haha. But I enjoy these. For that reason, I also vote in order, because I want to experience all of the maps that way! And also, don't worry about splits. Maybe if these were legit speedruns, but these are more of a "how quickly can A BEGINNER do it" thing.
Since a 2TC would take too long, you should do a video where you get all those fun achievements outside of a speed run (2TC, 2MP, round 100 on deflation, etc.)
It could be a long-form video like these are, that could be a lot of fun!

I'm personally not for splits but mostly for the aesthetic reasons. Im not sure where they would go and wouldn't be distracting.
Just the little timer tucked into the corner is optimal imho

On the topic of Splits.
I don't think they are really applicable in this case unless you want to dive deeper into the analytics, which seems overkill in my opinion.
Also, if it does lead to restarting I think that takes away the fun of the challenge and turns it more serious...
And then finally, haha, I heard someone once say that you should never give up half way if something isn't going to plan. See it through because you never know what the result will be, it could turn out even better than you expect :D

@Dabloon Ah, it was referring to when you mentioned possibly restarting if the split wasn't going fast enough.
Because you never know what the outcome would be in the later rounds, it could have been even quicker 😄
If i had to remove one tower from the game, it would be darling gunner, no questions asked.
Engineer has so much utility, and the unique mechanics really set it apart (Nothing functions similarly to Overclock, Bloon Trap, Cleansing Foam, or Sentries; foam has a very different practical application than shimmer for example). Damages all bloon types, cash generation, removes camo and regrowth, great stall (albeit map dependent).. engi does everything and does it differently than any other tower. Beautiful design

I would say for "blocking" towers, each tower can only be blocked for one map, so viewers wouldn't just always vote for sniper or always vote for sub or whatever. It could also REALLY mess up the run if a critical tower was blocked on a map it was really good for.
33:52 the answer is heck no XD. I just like order, and 90 more maps to improve is not that bad/j. But seriously no, it’s easier to follow and can show your improvement as you graduate from beginner to intermediate.
if you go out of order you should complete a whole page before changing between difficulties, just to keep it looking satisfying
I'm literally just vibin to these. I have played quite a few tower def games, but not Bloons. I just enjoy hearing about the games and how excited you sound when talking about it. It makes me wanna stay in and listen.

A good idea for deflation is to get a crossbow master, you can afford it if you place nothing else
Been loving the videos lately
If you like the primary category a lot id recommend the 0-5-2 boomerang monkey---that or a bloon solver can pretty much solo through round 100 and i think theyre fairly fun towers as well
He's just not good until you get to the 5th tier is the problem.
Sauda + top path + middle path T5 sub (all 3 alch buffed) takes care of every single round in the game. You may need something else to assist with Bloons like an embrittlement at the front but other than that it’s a cakewalk and way faster than ETN.
I think a good middle ground would be to alternate between in order and out every episode, so you get to do harder levels to shake things up but also make steady progress clearing earlier maps.

Spin a wheel with all the tower names and whatever you land on you arent allowed to use for that map, then rinse and repeat for the next full map
Also yes do out of order, maybe do beginner followed by intermediate then advanced then expert then repeat
I'm sure u know but, the hotkeys to upgrade ur towers are ( , is top path) ( . Is midle path) and ( - is bottom path) this can be utile to begginers

Legitamately Icicle impale is my go-to for Impoppable and CHIMPS, because the main threats of DDTs are its speed, which it makes slower than a red bloon and its immunities, which are nothing if you get cold snap.
Resort!
This map was fun to black border. Still using your 60 seconds guide from cabin. I'm currently on candy falls hard. Lotus Island held me up pretty hard, so I had to use your 60 second guide on THAT one.
I got my Monkey Knowledge for heroes completed, and Sauda can now solo a MOAB at level 9 (with her ability), but you need to pay her to level up in order to do that. Etinne is great for not needing camo, but Sauda just FEELS better to use.
I never use the mortar monkey, so id probably remove that one. Cannon just feels better to use for an explosion unit.

Maim moab is good for speed on lower difficulties if you have all your other towers right at the entrance or if you can block line of sight to let the moabs get to your towers, A maim moab can easily solo the round 80 ZOMG (until it pops), it'll just keep it off screen the whole time and it'll take 10 years if you let it.
Havent played since around it was released, but my favorite is by far the wizard monkey. I think they can still solo. For easy/quick game #1s, why not try solo tower shenanigans? It would be cool to see which work and how fast
Dont make fun of my mortar tower lol thats the only way Ive been able to get past alternate rounds fortified moabs! Also keep doing in order and dont stop once they release btd7
etienne is easily my favorite hero. he has decent dps at level 20, but his camo utility is WAY more useful than any damage he can do
Splits would add a good element because once you see where you are going wrong then you know what you need to rework in your strategy
You mentioned asking the comments about if you should hop around or not. I would suggest doing two beginners, then do either an intermediate level or an expert level based off of a coin flip. Then use a wheel spin to randomly choose a map from one of those map rankings.
Aussies are prone to Hip Dysplasia, which can definitely affect their ability to stand as they get older. I've had many Aussies, and 2 of them have had issues where late in life they suddenly had a lot of issues with legs. I hope your buddy isn't dealing with this and that he has a speedy recovery!
He's had the hip issues for a few months now unfortunately. just after the dog grooming incident it affected his other side as well. poor guy

Personally, I would eliminate the Dartling Gunner because I WANTED THE BLOONCHIPPER!
That is a unique one to hear. I can see that tho, if it wasn't for boss events I don't think the dartling would be used as much

Every thursday i have a chess tournament, before every tournament i watch this series, it gives me energy for my chess games (do the maps out of order)

Could be a fun thing to do one of each difficulty in a rotation like, easy intermediate hard etc then back to easy and start the pattern over again, for variety

Every time I do a magic only run, I do a sauda start, and go into a dragons breath wizard, and finish off with rushing a spirit of the forest. Best strat imo
Hot take, if we had to choose one tower to be eliminated from the game, I'd choose the Alchemist. T5 middle is just a fancier reskin of Dart Monkey's middle path, T5 top is an over glorified and insanely expensive support tower, T5 bottom path is actually good. But everything lead up to those is effectively useless. Alchemist has no survivability by itself and can't even last past round 1 without leaking. Honestly, when I first played the game on release, I was excited that an alchemist was added because alchemy is cool, but it has been needing a rework for a long time, or at least a transfer over to the Support category to show how useless it actually is
different approach, but I like it! We would be fine without an alchemist that is for sure

To be honest. I wouldn't mind seeing out of order anymore. A few episodes ago I much prefered the idea of seeing them in order, however you're right in saying that it could take up to a year until we start seeing some expert or even advanced maps. I wouldn't mind seeing the order maintained but every now and then seeing a random intermediate, advanced or expert map pop up for a bit of change of pace! As long as the beginner maps aren't forgotten about i think seeing it in a quite random order of whatever you feel like playing could be sweet!
those were my thoughts as well. I just can't get them out as quickly as I'd like and there are toooooo many beginner maps

love the series, on the going in order i think it would be cool if you had a wheel with all the remaining maps and at the start of each video you spun the wheel and got what map you would be doing that day

Dark Passage deflation can be soloed by a 5-0-2 Ultra Juggernaut. Ill probably mention it again when you get to that map but I just figured it out today lol
Also nuclear sub and aircraft carrier combo is such an easy win on this map
You can unlock tower upgrades by looking at tower information from the main screen and not take up time IN game (doesn't help against those first runs cause you unlock as you go), but yeah.....

I will be streaming the harder maps for sure when I am going to need help to come up with strats. As far as the main video/run It would be a nightmare to do a 3+ hour stream and try to edit it and take out alot of the parts of talking to chat. cutting down streams is hard because you tend to go off topic a lot making it bad experience for youtube video audience. On the excel you should add another column for how many total restarts you had on the level too. Might be interesting when you start getting to more difficult levels
i think a cool idea to limit towers could be at the start of each episode you randomize each category (primary, Magic, Military and Support) and the top monkey you cant use at all and the last monkey on the list you can only use one of.
One thing I do all the times is selling at some point everything and get some other t5, like BMA for double hp moabs
I don’t think you should block any towers in this current series, especially since you started this from scratch. Maybe another series can be doing one map only but each time you play it you can’t use a specific tower. And the next time you play you can’t use the same tower plus a new one…(and so on) so eventually you are left with playing only one tower. It doesn’t have to be the same map but I think it would be fun to use a randomized to pick which towers you can’t use.
Or you don’t have to block the same tower you used last time and each time you play you randomize a new tower to block, so randomize one tower the first game, 2 towers the second, 3 towers the third.
Order! You gotta make sure you have everything fully upgraded when you get to the hard and harder maps/modes
I think out of order could make the series even better than it already is, would be nice to see some multi-path maps as they will definitely be harder to speedrun! Keep up the great videos👍

I say don't block any towers. You already try changing it up all the time anyways and blocking specific towers kinda also limits your composition choices
I suggest doing a wheel filled with all btd6 monkeys and spinning it three times to randomly eliminate three monkeys, then do a hero wheel in which you MUST use that hero for the whole run
that would be intense!
When you're in the main menu, at the start before the timer begins or after you're done with the run, you have time to upgrade your monkeys.

Maybe try getting adora. She is like a hero version of a wizard - high damage, high range, homing shots, ignores walls, pops nearly every type of bloon...
adora is my least favorite hero :/

1. I think as far as restricting towers goes, you shouldn't add any restrictions. I think it kinda defeats the purpose of the series. There's plenty of time for other series and challenges with tower restrictions, and I think the only restriction for this one should be to go as fast as possible. Mixing up strategies to learn new tactics is good I think, but I don't think you should set arbitrary restrictions just for variety.
2. I don't think you should skip ahead on maps. Mostly because of people watching this is the future as a guide to black boarder the maps. If they wanted to clear the maps in order, but you came back to clear earlier maps in the future you would have a lot more monkey knowledge and that could pretty drastically change your tactics to something other people may not have yet.
I thought about that as well but since I started with a new account, if they follow the order I do they will be in the same spot. Also, I have not collected any achievements so if a player was to collect all so far they would have way more cash and some more monkey knowledge then me

I just did these calculations cause I was a little curious about what kind of difference it really made:
The druid you sold at 53:09 (you sold the 2-4-0 instead of the 1-4-0, oops) was worth 8805, and sold for 6199, which would've been a deficit of 2606, if not for the fact that it had gained 3200 from its ability, so it was actually a net positive of 594.
The super monkey you sold at the same time was worth 18145, and sold for 13458 for a total deficit of 4687, which I also thought was interesting (though it did help with about 12k pops so maybe that was worth the large deficit?)
i´d like to see you doing dark castle and then go on with the order, just to spice it up a little
dark castle is my favorite. it makes me feel like im good since its such an easy expert map lol
Engineer is one of my favs as a very casual player (I like using him as a first monkey while saving money) but like. Beast Tamer really is just kinda the cooler Engineer

Out of order! I love watching these but I’ve already black boardered most maps especially the easy and intermediate ones. So I’d be even more into some harder maps

You could add them in post, that way we can see what pace you're on but you won't get stressed while you're playing it
happy to have a reliable guide series, especially because i know if it will work or not
if you do out of order, I think you should keep some "order" to it, so you can change difficulty as you wish, but do them in order per difficulty. dont just jump to like ouch or something start at the beginning of the section
