It is so refreshing to hear commentary that is so fair to both sides… and I’m saying that as a faithful (but open-minded) lds member… If only we (the church) could be this honest…Yes, more people would leave, but at least the people that stay would no longer be faced with the dilemma of either choosing to turn a blind eye, wrestling to reconcile beliefs with contradictory truth (amidst ever-increasingly aggressive apologetics) or just living with the cognitive dissonance and self-deception. And despite losing some people, I think ultimately the church would be stronger for the honesty and net a larger membership than if they continue down this road of dishonesty… Not to mention that Jesus taught and commanded us to honest…Nice job Mormon auditor! Keep it coming. P.S. Greg- the elipses are for you.

I should add, not only if the church would be that honest, but the ex-mo side too. Both sides play the same games.

@@joshuasylvester2462I'd argue that the exmo side is more honest than the church. The church repeatedly says "trust us we have the answers." They don't want you to look at anti-Mormon stuff.
The critics on the other hand are saying "don't trust us. Go and look for yourself and make your own decision." The critics don't care if you go to church or not. They want the general membership to know the issues and they want the church to openly talk about these issues.
The church won't do that though because 78% of exmos today left the church because they found out about the problematic history. Telling the general membership about the problems could cause enough members to leave that the church could no longer have enough members to function.

Great video! The AI image is a little off-putting, but I like the way you score the audit

Greg Smith really needs to lay off the Mormon Kool-Aid.

Gish Gallop is a miss. It's a "wikipedia" of all the issues that you can cross-check the claims for yourself. The problems are multipicative, or a Bayesian problem, that quickly becomes a literal exponential problem.
