YOU CAN LITERALLY see all of them scared as darkseid speaks. Darkseid is far more horrifying in nature, appearance, violence and purpose than thanos. If darkseid was standing in front of you, you'd be absolutely terrified beyond imagination whilst in his presence alone. The voice actor for him showed that very well. And remember that this is just an avatar for darkseid, its not his true form.

This is not a competition between who's the most scary or feared or imposing smh... This is a matter of if the villain is done well in the movie. You can have scary and interesting villains, but if they're not done well in the movie, it won't matter. Villains like Taskmaster, Lex Luthor, Dr. Doom, Galactus, all of them failed cuz the movie didnt do justice to them, as interesting and important as they are. Thanos was done well, he had a purpose, a backstory, and everything else that made him an iconic villain.
What's Darkseid's purpose other than being the most powerful person in the universe with the Anti-Life Equasion? He can be scarier and more imposing than Thanos, but none of that will matter if the movie doesnt do him justice, which the DCEU didnt do sadly
