How gland collar gasket & O- between shaft and shaft sleeve are sealing points of mechanical seal, please explain? There is no connection among gland collar gasket, O- between shaft and shaft sleeve & mechanical seal.

Nice explanation, if it is API 682 seal of single mechanical seal cartridge type, than we don't need the marking and measurements for grub screw positioning, also for cartridge seal we can not change the compression! Pls explain!

My Dear Bro. It is not a Cartridge Mechanical Seal. Its a normal manual setting inside mounted single coil mechanical seal. single seal option. and Yes for cartridge mechanical seal installation. No need to take this measure. and its very simple and easy to install it. Just position the mechanical seal in the shaft. and tight the stuffing box collar stud and nut. then after full assembly completed. then Tight the gub screws on the retainer ring and sleeve to lock the seal units with shaft. then remove the assembling bar in the gap. and reverse tne assembly bar. then its ready for service. thanks alot for your question.
