A wonderful Great White song, by multiple requests. It's an amazing blues-rock number incorporating much that I've covered previously......plus I show you some finer points in the "how-to" portion. I give you "Rock Me". God bless, all.
High time I acknowledge and give props to the incredible guitarist I'm playing along with here....Mr. Mark Kendall. You look at any and all blues rock lead guitarists over the decades and I'm tellin' ya, Mark is right up there near the top. He had such touch, feel, tone.....never over the top. That was rare for the '80's, believe me. Massive respect for Mr. Kendall.
♥️
Mark Kendall was a big influence on me in my youth. He is the best !
Yes , same here !! Love Mark.
Too bad Mark acan't get it together again with Russel just like John Fogerty can't get together with CC revisited Dennis DeYoung can't get together w/ Styx so many great bands split for such stupid reasons egos and more...
another one along the lines of Mark Kendall that deserves a lot of respect to even though they were lumped into hair metal is Tom keifer of Cinderella.. it's a lot more to Tommy too than a lot of people
realize
You're absolutely right. Mark's tone is just gorgeous. I enjoy watching him live! This entire band (original and new) are very talented. Mitch is the perfect frontman to take over. And I truly adore Michael Lardie - he's extremely talented and seems so humble and down to earth.
A true guitar master and teacher, something quite rare today. See how he closes his eyes? This man obviously loves the song Rock ME. He is an awesome guitarist.
Thank you for the kind words, my friend. :)
Super enjoyable! Love that song! You ROCK Stuart!
Thank you so much, Terry ❤️
Learning this one for an audition. This beats any of the tabs I found out there hands down. I feel like watching this accelerated my learning 10 fold. Now I can wrap this up and work on the other 10 songs I need to learn. And hopefully you made videos for them too! Cheers my friend!
Thank you so much for the kind words my friend.. ... and I am so glad it helped you!!
Great tune great lesson, thanks.
Thank you for the kind words my friend.
That was AWESOME!!! Loved it!
Amazing, love that song. Always taught that is one of the best songs recorded ever. Thanks for sharing!!!
Well played sir, beautiful, a great example of playing what entirely compliments the song and nothing over flashy for the sake of it.
Thank you for your kind words, my friend.
@@stuartalexander2657 you're welcome my friend
Fantastic job Stuart. Thank you so much. I played synths in the 80s and early 90s in a regional band and we covered this, but of course I wasn't really doing much on guitar back then. I played bass as well but not in that particular band. I was blessed to have a ton of great musicians and a fantastic singer, so that opened up a lot of songs for us to play. @Stuart Alexander, I agree, Mark was incredible. His phrasing in his solos was top notch and he had the touch to so many nuanced emotions out of the strings. You feel what he played.
That's one Classy guitar player. Tone and feel stands out thru all these technical players!!! RESPECT!
Thanks so much for the kind words, Ryan. :)
Excellent cover of a world class rock classic:>)
Thank you very much!
Subscribe done! Thanks for taking your time and share your knowledge with us. Keep on rocking.

Awesome Stuart! This was the first guitar solo I learned by ear almost 30 years ago! I play it exactly like you, but I never learned all the clean rhythm parts played during the verses so I found your video. Thanks for posting, very helpful 👍

6:00 Dude...you hit it out of the park on that solo!!! Note for note perfect..VERY impressive.
Thank you for your kind words, Scottie.... :)
@@stuartalexander2657 For what it's worth, the last time I saw Mark Kendall himself play it, let's just say I was 'underwhelmed'. I'm not sure who you might know in the business but I do know Jack Russell still tours. He should see your videos. It's happened before....
@@theoriginalrabbithole Let's just say......we have a mutual friend and he has. :)
Stuart, 2 words for you my friend........IN FUCKINCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smokin', Man! Love your playing!
Thank you very much. :)
Honestly this man is ungodly. If I had to pick 5 guitarist he's one of them. I'm 42 and play death metal, but amazing music comes from everywhere.
Thanks for the lesson
Fantastic job
You got it down man, great song too.
Were ya stranded on a desert island and had to build a shelter with the only tool you had, a Les Paul Custom. Or did you have a pet Parrott? Cool Video. Im trying to re-learn the "on Your Knees" solo but Im not finding much help. Not even a TAB. Its been over 15 years since I played that one
Pretty darn close. I can't hardly tell the difference. Over all it was great. Thanks!!!!

Mark made a post on Facebook he said (Great job & lesson!😎🎸) about this.
Oh my brother, you more than made my day with this . OMG I HAVE to see that post on FB. "Honored" just doesn't cover it....:)
Good work man !, real good....
Thank you, sir. :)
great cover of a great song I just learned this song I always loved this song so much feel thank you
You Are Amazing, I wish You Could Teach me How To Play The Guitar.
Thank you....I'm totally self-taught; don't read a note; zero theory or even scales. I just share what I've learned. Check out some other videos on this channel....all non-technical, especially on barre chords.
Thanks for making me feel like I am not the only older rock and roll soldier still left on planet earth. And yes, still have the hair too. Love the Black Beauty. Now I want one. I have the 58R Sunburst and Original 60 All gold bullion. But they are jealous as hell because they see it in my eyes that your Black Beauty has raised my eye brows. Beautiful. What are you using for effects. I have a Marshall JCM 800 and just use a PROCO Ratt and an old Peavey Delay. Gives me that Robin Trower tone I love and the Steve Marriot velvet also. I loved your video and will be using it to fill my day today. Take Mr. Paul for a walk. As me and Mr. Paul have a birthday coming up on June 9, I plan to have a day of just jamming and dreaming of old days. Thanks brother. Darrin
Thanks so much for the kind words, Darrin. Really glad you enjoyed it. The LP Custom is an '81; I learned years later that that was a particularly good year for LP's so I simply lucked out. I'm playing into a Line 6 PODxt Live (using a Soldano 100W amp emulation, Ibanez Tube Screamer emulation for distortion, some delay, touch of reverb). The POD, in turn, is going straight into the front of a "neutralized" Fender Twin....meaning I'm letting the POD do all of the tone shaping with bass, treble zeroed out on the Twin, midrange dimed. I'm using two different channels that are side by side; a clean channel (a preset on the POD that I found that I love) and the more distorted tone channel (described above); simply step on each "pedal" on the board to switch back and forth as needed.
As a fellow older road warrior....you may enjoy this one, as well: th-cam.com/video/RY3mfHWP5po/w-d-xo.html
Black beauty has 3 pickups idiot!!!
No need for the "idiot" comment, bro.....we know what he meant.
awesome, awesome job.
Thank you SO much, Mike....:)
Cool
Nice work. Thanks for the demonstration and not dumbing it down into a lesson for beginners.
Man, i just love your playing and the way you explain it all.....very simplified and easy to understand!!! wish you lived near me in CT. i'd pay you for lesson's in a heart beat!!!! Great stuff and hope your well bro!!! Peace!!!
