New Edition is the blueprint for what boy bands are today.
I agree !👍🏾 I believe that New Edition is the bridge that connects The Jackson 5 to B2K . With platforms we have today , fans can see great performance ! Maybe can tours with NE & NKOTB or Verses between Boyz 2 Men & *NSYNC, Dru Hill Backstreet Boys
Fully agree! I remember when NE came to prominence back in 1983/84, the only other "boyband" around was Menudo.

@@robertepps2834 definitely! NE always credit the Jackson's. They even said that before they went onstage, they would listen to the Jackson's live album from back in 1981 as a way of inspiration.

To me, She just seems young and lost. Granted she has an idea who who is who, but not fully. And I do agree, she should have some more knowledge about New Edition. My 80s kid just smacked me. *I was born in 1982.* (And before you smack me, I was listening to tapes of them from my older sister from the age of 5.)

New Edition consists of members: Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe.
I got to see both back in the 90s. I felt so lucky l. But to see the, again now wow what a treat my kids grew up with their music because I thrashed it so much while they were babies 😂😂
This band is from Boston they are the blueprint they are 40 Years strong

They are both from Boston, when NE broke up their team created NKOTB they gave them all the NE choreography, songs and even wardrobe...they are just the white NE.
Correction that didn't happen when NE broke up. That happened when NE left Maurice Starr. When NE left him he decided to start a group of white boys using the same formula. He said he would have an easier time making them huge stars (or something like that) and the rest is history.

@@carolinagirl3110 New Edition had more real singers: Although Ralph did a lot of the heavy lifting, as time has shown Ricky, Bobby, and Johnny all could have been the lead sngers in the group. They weren't utilized properly which led to Bobby going solo, the creation of BBD and the addition of Johnny, a solo artist in his own right

Ok how were born in the 80's and not know the members of NE.
Both groups put together by Maurice Starr
NKOTB was specifically to be a white version of NE.
No Maurice Starr just discovered New Edition and gave them their first record deal. They put themselves together because they had musical passions and were good friends, they went to Brooke Payne who trained and managed them. All those white groups were the ones artificially put together by executives. Raw, God gifted, natural, out the projects, talent and ability with New Edition.
