So here is my review on the new Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation.
Be completely honest in the comments - what do you guys honestly think about the color match? I can't figure out in the end if it matches me perfectly or not.. BUT it does come very close!

Got the same shade and I’m matched to fenty 310. I don’t get her shade chart. It has phenomenal coverage. But on my skin it didn’t sit well. The colour did warm up but the comments under my video was just ok . So I’m guessing people thought it was ashy. This will make the best concealer and that’s how I have been applying lately. Fragrance is like oud. It kinda warmed up on your skin and looks very nice actually.
The same thing happened to me with Fenty Beauty! I am an NC 42 in MAC and when I went to get the right shade for Fenty Beauty, the sales rep gave me a sample of 310 to try first. Initially, it looked a bit fair on my skin, but she insisted that I wait for it to "settle" and 310 actually ended up blending well with my skin tone! I guess the same applies to Huda Beauty based on your review! I think I'll pick up Macchiato too!

I'm about the same colour and brown sugar after oxidising makes me look like I've been smacked by a orange. Macchiato is the shade lighter...no in-between
I think both foundations are good in there own way. Some people like something abit more medium buildable coverage so fenty would be for them
However, for the full coverage baddies huda would be there preferred choice. One thing to note is that the fenty beauty foundation is a bit more dryer because of its Matt finish.
It matches you perfectly, I bought the same shade ,when I applied it was light after few hours it matches me .

No you’re not going crazy...it oxidized well! That looks perfect on you, don’t, change the colors. I got a sample and I was like “whoa it might be too light” then after a few moments, I was like yasssss, I love this foundation!!!
it looks really good!!! i still find this shade a tiny light for you but it might be the lighting... this foundation reminds me estee lauder double wear.
The more I use the shade, the better I like it on myself.. is that crazy? lol

Jumping between 7:42 & 8:14 and there is a significant difference but it still looks a tiny bit ashy on your forehead hun. But the lower half matches so well

it looks like it just doesn't match your forehead but if your like me your forehead is 2 shades darker then the rest of your face. I think it matches

At first it was too light then oxidized to a better match. You got lucky normally when mine oxidizes it ends up too dark
Hey! I read some comments, so which shade you liked better? Brown sugar, Macchiato, or Dulce de Leche?
I also bought Macchiato thinking the same thing and it began matching perfectly. I use all the same shades as you. I think Brown Sugar will oxidize too dark. Maybe during tanner months.
The foundation looks flawless on you but I’m curious to know how it is comparable to milani 2 in 1 perfect foundation!! Bcoz milani one is full coverage, long wearing and photographs beautifully
Just like me or any brown girl you have your hands way darker than your neck, I knew when you started putting the foundation that it was the colour of your neck.

I’m the same skin tone as you and I’ve been finding it so hard to finding it so hard to find my shade!! Also I found Hudas foundation chart so off because it had shade like fenty 300 in the same shade range as Mac nc 35. I’m an nc 40 to 42 in Mac and fenty 300 is a perfect match for my skin tone. Love your videos! 💖

The more I use the foundation, the more I like it on my skin tone! I plan on purchasing the shade 'Brown Sugar' today and ill keep you guys posted n that shade match also! xo
Brown sugar may work for you. It's too light for me but in a very ashy way. The next colors up are just weird. Toffee is the next color up and it is muddy on my skin. Gingerbread literally looked green on me. Her shade chart was totally wrong but I felt like the tan category of shades was just muddy and not as yellow as the mediums. Maybe she made it more for Olivey, rather than true gold/yellow tones. Or maybe my skin is weird.
Who knows... Anyone else experience these issues? For reference fenty 330 is almost perfect match for me - it's a touch too gold but it works pretty well

This shade looks ashy and light on your forehead . However, it did blend into your skin after sometime but personally I feel it still looks one shade lighter for your skin tone!
This colour looks good on you , your skin looks fresh

Both are great foundations. I would say Huda's foundation is thicker than Fenty

You look stunning Arshia!! I swatched 350G Dulce ce Leche, which is darker than 400G Macchiato. 350G looks wonderful on my NC 41-42 indian skin. Maybe you should give 350G a try.

Since you're 330 in Fenty. Your shade in Huda is Brown Sugar
I got the brown sugar and it was a perfect match at first, looked so good but in less than an hour it turned completely orange on me ! Oxidized really badly on me so maybe I will get this shade as we are the same skin tone

I’m so disappointed. I’m south Asian American and medium dark and went with the shade “brown sugar” and Huda was pictured wearing it!! I was like yes that’s my shade. It is a shade and a half darker on me and it’s summer. I hope I can exchange it. I get lighter in winter.

Maybe you should try the next shade up because it looks a tiny bit too light. As always your so very beautiful and thank you for the review. It did look a little grey , I find this foundation to oxidize a little . I got the shade amaretti .
I’m 310 in Fenty, Honey Bronze in DW, and 8 in CT Magic Foundation and Brown Sugar suits me really well.. slightly darker than my normal shades but once it settles/blends into the skin, the colour match is really good! I do find the foundation settles into my forehead lines by the end of the day though..
What shade would you purchase now in her line?

Macchiato is golden and neutral undertones.
@mia h It looks neutral on her because it's too light. I wear Macchiato and it's a golden undertone.

Being a make up artist I feel this foundation doesn't match your skin tone at all.brown sugar is the right shade for you.Still u pulled it up somehow.I like your reviews very much keep posting.❤❤

by the way you definitely have to go pick up brown sugar because even tho it oxidized it still looks grey-ish in some parts. You can always lighten the foundation when you highlight. I would recommend cream contouring if you don't feel like you have pick up a different shade

That was a great review! I use 400g to most of my brides as i found 320g is kinda darker than 400g. Why so?
320G has just yellow undertones and 400G being neutral golden undertones could appear lighter. I'm NC40 and I can wear both Baklava and Macchiato which are neutral/golden.

It matches you nicely. It looks lighter because of the thickness of product in one pump. But when it's spread out, it matches you nicely.
I'm NC40 in mac. What shade should I get? I saw many NC42 people being matched to Brown Sugar and NC35/37 getting Très Lèches. Macchiato is one shade above Brown Sugar, 400G and 410G. So you're much lighter than me, Macchiato won't match me. But Brown Sugar may be too dark.
