Sometimes betrayal hurts so deep and makes forgiveness a long road. My feeling to my mom changes a lot. Sometimes I despise her when I remember her abuse towards me, other times I remember that she was the parent who stayed and had been through a lot while my dad simply left.
Her acting is amazing everywhere.. I started watching this series only because of her and still watching only because of her.. and a lil also because of George now..
I'm not sure that is exactly surprising. If the storyline holds true (and who knows if it will), Mary ends up cheated on, though Sheldon has been known to misunderstand many situations before. They have a problematic relationship that has gone through pretty rough patches. People see their life through their own glasses, and in her story, she won't see things as they are or others do.

Not gonna lie when Missy was crying said she doesn’t actually hate Sheldon made me tear up. Sheldon may be annoying at times but he loves Missy so much and was actually concerned about her. Raegan is a great actress

This episode was so put together, Connie you see her worry about Mandy and the baby, George and Missy I’m glad they made it through, Mary is worried nobody is answering.

The scene with George & Missy surviving while returning from the airport, Connie's home that she built a life with her husband being destroyed & also Mary being worried about her family in an area where there's a tornado, made me cry. but Thank GOD they're all safe.
For anyone curious, even if the rain is letting up and the tornado seems to be moving away, DO NOT EXPECT IT TO BE LETTING UP!! These tornadoes could easily have another one or two behind it, as well as debris and RFD that will mess you up. Stay safe, keep your head down, and REMAIN SHELTERED.

For me, this is the most emotional scene I have ever seen not only in this series but also in any video. Missy and Dad do share a very good relationship.
That’s the major leagues. But when it comes to this show, which started out as hilarious but declined as Sheldon aged and became hard to listen to, the tornado scene at the side of the road is great, painful drama.
pretty sure the writers regretted killing him off back in TBBT. they didn't know they were gonna create an awesome character out of him in young sheldon until it was too late
George covering Missy got to me. She was so scared and he did what any good parent would do. Just do his best to keep her safe and be on top to protect her from any debris. Missy finally breaking down. It happens to every teenager. We act all tough but thete comes a time when we break down and hopefully parents understand like George did

And yet Missy proceeds to sneak out of the house 30+ times over summer break without getting caught. In her defense, communication in this family is hugely problematic, and Missy has every right to be jealous of Sheldon.
It'sunfortunerly not the ending. By the next day she is trying to swipe her grandma's jewelry. She sneaks out 32 times that summer, and will be back to pulling stupid stunts in season 7.
This scene is so realistic it’s creepy. To think I survived something of that magnitude in El Reno 2013 I was 15 and we visited my aunt ? Needless to say I was the only one there and my aunts house looked like Connie’s house . But it was almost gone. I survived in the storm cellar . Then the year following ? I had survived a house fire by miraculously none of my family being home we were all out to eat. My cats got out safely thankfully my neighbor got them for me. I know this is a tv show but it’s really really really well done here. I wonder if they’re gonna rebuild Connie’s house in seasons 7-8. The part we’re George laid over Missy to protect her? Was something I know any mother/father/grandparent would do. That was very sweet that scene.

Georgie’s proposal to Mandy, Pastor Jeff finding out about Connie’s gambling room, George Sr. and Missy getting caught in the storm, and Connie losing her home and all of her money. If Mary finds out or hears about all of this while she’s in Germany with Sheldon, she would be really shocked. I wonder what the next season will bring in store for the Cooper family in Season 7. She sticks up for her older brother in Sunday school and comforts Marry when George leaves because she cheated on him.

It's so weird that in the US they have these cardboard houses despite being more affected by tornados than Europe. I can't imagine how devastating it must be to lose your house and belongings like this.
It's all about cost. Stick built is a lot cheaper than homes made of brick or stone. And a lot of construction in this country is a lot newer than what is in Europe. Even in sections of Europe that were devastated by the wars and had to be rebuilt afterwards used brick and stone construction more commonly than what would come later on. A lot of the homes built in the US during the 50s and even the 60s were built better but a lot of those homes have been torn down to make way for bigger homes on smaller lots made out of cheaper materials. The US has a love affair with home square footage and despite the fact that family size here has been steadily shrinking for years the home sizes have been steadily rising. It's all a part of the disposable consumer economy in this country.

You have to be able to get out of the house without help from big equipment. While a house built out of wood will suck, but you'll live and can get out.

And of course on the West Coast, there are earthquakes; if your house falls on you in an earthquake, you'd rather be buried under wood. In most places throughout North America, there are lots of reasons it makes more sense for houses to be wooden.
As someone from an earthquake, flood, tsunami/storm surge, and typhoon/hurricane prone place, I've been thinking the same for years. Though, it also depends on the strength of the wind and stuff like how the roof looks like. Unless it is a very reinforced concrete dome, most concrete houses will also lay prone to those winds. Not everyone can afford to hurricane/tornado proof the whole house. I've seen concrete walls broken badly by just wind. Not because they're substandard or not reinforced, but because the strength of the wind is just too much for it.

Hurricanes aren't as bad as tornadoes. At least you have quite a bit of warning with a hurricane, which allows you plenty of time to escape. Tornadoes, on the other hand...let's just say I'm glad for advancements in weather technology. With 15 to 20 minutes of warning, I should be able to determine the direction of the storm and get the hell out of the path. Wouldn't had that luxury forty years ago
Missy being in that Tornado really gave her a much needed wake up call. I’m glad Pastor Jeff could drop his prudishness and just keep everyone safe during the storm.

Sheldon and Mary's plane left the airport in Houston. The Tornado was a long distance from Houston and their plane was at 30,000 feet. Tornado clouds usually top out about 15,000 to 20,000 feet.

Sheldon truth compulsion is a behavioral problem. He literally can’t help it. He can’t lie. When he does his face makes all kinds of tells . To get an idea what a compulsion or a mental tick is. Watch a clip of older Sheldon teaching Leonard how it feels by making him wear a sweater which irritates his skin beyond belief. Leonard bet Sheldon he could handle it . …. He didn’t. It’s actually a very good visual representation of what having a mental compulsion is like on those who can’t control it.

I don't interpret this as Missy promising to NEVER mess up. I interpret this as MISSY promising to TRY to do better, and GEORGE accepting that Missy IS GOING to mess up sometimes, and promising her that they'll deal with that as it happens.
I'm surprised the pastor didn't say it was a sign from God that Connie's gambling room is the reason why she lost her house. Considering how unreasonable he was with the her video store selling "inappropriate" videos.
Until this episode he was really an exaggerated cartoon character. Many people who are not religious actually think all religious people are this way, which they are not.

I really hope that they end the show before George passes because that would really be sad and if they don't do that, then, I hope that they at least give a vignette where we see how they do in the future, and that Sheldon looks back and sees that his father wasn't a villain in the piece

The sad thing is, in the background you see the Bewitched house. This street had many famous houses, Partridge family house, the Middle, I dream of Jeanie, the Christmas vacation house, Hazel and more. They were all torn down a few months ago and the area willl now be office buildings

I know this is a tv show but it’s really really really well done here. I wonder if they’re gonna rebuild Connie’s house in seasons 7-8. The part we’re George laid over Missy to protect her? Was something I know any mother/father/grandparent would do. That was very sweet that scene.

Wow, that was such an emotional finale for Season 6 of Young Sheldon! Georgie’s proposal to Mandy, Pastor Jeff finding out about Connie’s gambling room, George Sr. and Missy getting caught in the storm, and Connie losing her home and all of her money. If Mary finds out or hears about all of this while she’s in Germany with Sheldon, she would be really shocked. I wonder what the next season will bring in store for the Cooper family in Season 7. Like Gary Allan had said in his song, “Every Storm Runs Out of Rain”. 😟😔⛈️🌪️

Missy has so many good moments with her dad that i was mad when she kept compalining nobodys cares about her, george really into missy than sheldon knowing mary is all sheldon
Missy's right however no one cared she missed the birth or apologized to her but hey let's make sure Sheldon gets to his project. Missy has always been looked over and left to fend for herself. She sticks up for her older brother in Sunday school and comforts Marry when George leaves because she cheated on him.

1. When you accidentally do something to a person you apologize. "Missy we're sorry that we forgot to pick you up and forgot all about you that you missed the birth."
2. Sheldon saw his project fail.
3. The little pos needed to learn the lesson if you are not without sin shut the hell up. Missy taught that lesson very well since the "church" wasn't going to teach look after your bothers and sisters with care.
It's specifically her MOTHER that she believes doesn't seem to care much about her (compared to Sheldon anyway).

It's so weird that in the US they have these cardboard houses despite being more affected by tornados than Europe. I can't imagine how devastating it must be to lose your house and belongings like this.
It's all about cost. Stick built is a lot cheaper than homes made of brick or stone. And a lot of construction in this country is a lot newer than what is in Europe. Even in sections of Europe that were devastated by the wars and had to be rebuilt afterwards used brick and stone construction more commonly than what would come later on. A lot of the homes built in the US during the 50s and even the 60s were built better but a lot of those homes have been torn down to make way for bigger homes on smaller lots made out of cheaper materials. The US has a love affair with home square footage and despite the fact that family size here has been steadily shrinking for years the home sizes have been steadily rising. It's all a part of the disposable consumer economy in this country.

You have to be able to get out of the house without help from big equipment. While a house built out of wood will suck, but you'll live and can get out.
Ashleigh is absolutely right as well, but I'd add: a loose flying brick is a lot more dangerous than loose flying wood. And of course on the West Coast, there are earthquakes; if your house falls on you in an earthquake, you'd rather be buried under wood. In most places throughout North America, there are lots of reasons it makes more sense for houses to be wooden.
As someone from an earthquake, flood, tsunami/storm surge, and typhoon/hurricane prone place, I've been thinking the same for years. Though, it also depends on the strength of the wind and stuff like how the roof looks like. Unless it is a very reinforced concrete dome, most concrete houses will also lay prone to those winds. Not everyone can afford to hurricane/tornado proof the whole house. I've seen concrete walls broken badly by just wind. Not because they're substandard or not reinforced, but because the strength of the wind is just too much for it.

Hurricanes aren't as bad as tornadoes. At least you have quite a bit of warning with a hurricane, which allows you plenty of time to escape. Tornadoes, on the other hand...let's just say I'm glad for advancements in weather technology. With 15 to 20 minutes of warning, I should be able to determine the direction of the storm and get the hell out of the path. Wouldn't had that luxury forty years ago

I honestly hope things don’t end the same way as described on TBBT. The show has been to wholesome for things to go down that path. And I just feel like ret conning for the sake of a good ending is the best course of action
I don't interpret this as Missy promising to NEVER mess up. I interpret this as MISSY promising to TRY to do better, and GEORGE accepting that Missy IS GOING to mess up sometimes, and promising her that they'll deal with that as it happens.

I really hope that they end the show before George passes because that would really be sad and if they don't do that, then, I hope that they at least give a vignette where we see how they do in the future, and that Sheldon looks back and sees that his father wasn't a villain in the piece

George is portrayed as an actual masculine man. He does the best he can. He isn't a dumbass or weak. He fails. He makes mistakes. He loves his kids to the point he would walk through fire for them.
The sad thing is, in the background you see the Bewitched house. This street had many famous houses, Partridge family house, the Middle, I dream of Jeanie, the Christmas vacation house, Hazel and more. They were all torn down a few months ago and the area willl now be office buildings
