Skip ahead to 5:10 for the start of the movie!!!!!
There is snow blowing, bubbles, fog, & light effects taking place at special moments throughout the movie. Some are kinda hard to see on video; it was a lot of fun in person though. The kids loved it!!
I love THIS version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer best! 😁
It is pretty cool! :)
I like it and the old one
@@chickenkingBGW they should’ve made more scenes as the full movie but in tv & not in a amusement park
@@xanderthedvdvhsguyanimator9343 You can actually see this 4D short in the 2018 Universal Studios DVD/Blu-ray re-release
@@chickenkingBGW what if there's a new show called The legend of frosty the snowman (But with Rudolph) in 2022?!:)
Thank you for posting!
You bet!
Thank you for uploading this, the stop motion animation looks great.
Yup. We enjoyed this neat little version for Christmas Town. :)
That isn't stop motion
All though it looks like it.
It's actually CGI made to resemble stop motion
They used a similar method for the LEGO movie
It's like an an abridged remake of the 1964 classic
Adam Smithson 10:46 that’s exactly right.
Instead of the stock King Kong roar, Bumble was voiced by a human
The 1964 special was voiced by a all Canadian voice cast: Paul Soles Billy Mae Richards Paul Klugman Peg Dixon..most of the cast voiced the animated Spiderman series.
Except for Academy Award Winner, Burl Ives, he was not candania.
Did Jim Cummings voiced Sam the Snowman? ⛄️ awesome.
I'm not sure, but it does sound similar, doesn;t it? ;)
Would make sense for them to use a new voice cast.
Dont
It’s actually some guy who tried his best to sound like Burl Ives.
RIP Rankin and Bass Productions 1960-2001
Yeah... :(
The company’s library is split and the pre RB library is owned by DreamWorks and NBCUniversal and the post RB library is owned by Warner Bros.
Even this was shown at the 4D Theater in Saint Louis Zoo.
They should remake all the rankin bass specials in 4D animation.
That would be awesome!! :)
@@chickenkingBGW Glad you agree.
You know mistreating people who are different can have very serious consequences.
Absolutely
Bumble the friendly ☃️
Did old Bumble grow a new set of teeth?
Seems to come back every year! :)
They grow back just like ours
Rudolph’s nose! I saw the effect when it glows!
Comit Blows A Whistle At 6:45
Jason minton it is actually comit (the original movie said so)
I’m disappointed that they didn’t animate the whole special in this newer style like this and shortened all the scenes and didn’t add in any of the songs, and I’m also disappointed that they didn’t add in the Misfit Toys scenes And the song “The Most Wonderful Day Of The Year”, but other than those flaws and opinions of mine, I love the newer style and animation in this! (Kinda wish the characters were more accurate to the original puppets though… )
It is pretty cool and would be nice to see. This version was made specifically to be short for audiences walking through an area at theme parks like Busch Gardens who have a little outdoor watching area where it replays about very 15 minutes. :)
the misfit toys part reminds me of the original 1964 NBC airing. was not alive when that happened, but i still know they did not have a scene with the misfit toysi n the og airing
Personally, I wish the voices were more accurate to the original cast. If I were casting director for a remake Rudolph film, I'd cast:
Kathleen Barr as Rudolph
Scott McNeil as Hermey
Fred Tatasciore as Yukon Cornelius
Carla Delaney as Clarice
Erik Bergmann as Santa Claus
Candi Milo as Mrs. Claus
Stephen Stanton as Donner
Lee Tockar as Charlie in a Box
Grey DeLisle Griffin as Dolly for Sue
Jim Cummings as Spotted Elephant
Brian Cummings as Foreman Elf
Alan Tudyk as Coach Comet
Maurice LaMarche as King Moonracer
Wally Wingert as Fireball
Christopher Swindle as Train with Square Wheels
Tom Kenny as Swimming Bird
Bill Farmer as Scooter for Jimmy
Eric Bauza as Additional Misfit Toys
Kath Soucie as Mrs. Donner
Robert Smigel as Sam the Snowman
Frank Welker as the Abominable Snow Monster
Dee Bradley Baker as Animal Vocal Effects
What happened to Dolly and Charlie in the Box? I saw King Moonracer and 3 of the misfit toys (Choo-Choo with Square Wheels on its Caboose, Spotted Elephant and Cowboy who Rides an Ostrich), but where were Dolly and Charlie?
I dunno, they missed their ride!?
@@chickenkingBGW Or maybe they were too busy hanging out with their owners Sue and Sarah respectively
I know this version had to be truncated for a theme park but still, it's a shame the whole special wasn't done like this as it added some nice touches with the animation and extra stuff (like how Fireball's take off, crashes into the tree), not to mention the animation itself is smoother and not so clunky as in the original. It would have been improvement to a classic.
i honestly prefer the animation in the original... i don't know why but i do
@@memethyst Nostalgia
They could do it for one of it's anniversaries.
@@velociwyatt9080 Well, it's 60th anniversary is next year, so...
ELF PRACTICE 4D
Thus could’ve been so much longer
It's made to play in a theme park, outside during the winter. Folks just passing by can watch for a few minutes and get almost the whole story. It works perfectly at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg!! :)
@@chickenkingBGW But still, it would have been great if the whole thing would have done this way as it is such an improvement. They could have sold the whole version as a special DVD/Bluray at the gift shop (if they have one, never been to that place).
The movie starts at 5:10
Rudolph sounds like Tails the fox.
Or like Ash Ketchum (Veronica Taylor) from Pokemon
Hi
I heard this is on a DVD now.
Oh wow!
chickenkingBGW That’s right. It’s on “The Original Christmas Specials Collection” Deluxe Edition DVD that came last year. The read up on it & saw that it was true, Rudolph The Red nosed Reindeer is on the DVD as a Bonus Feature. Including the behind the scenes of it.
Dylan Geltzeiler It’s also on Blu Ray.

I like the yeti
Bumbles are pretty cool! ;)
It’s the abominable snowman
Me to
Hmm not bad not bad at all it looks Amazing .

My issue is that Dolly and Charlie are missing, and Charlie’s the official sentry for the island of misfit toys
I wish if they haven't had the courage they would have done this again by remodeling the sequel Rudolph and the Isle of misfit Toys. Cuz I don't like it when it's 3D animated instead of stop motion.
What about Shiny New Year and Christmas in July
@@christhejedimaster1885 didn’t matter to me much.

How about panning up?
Robert Lopresti Hope you enjoyed more than the pre-show slides! 😎🤘
I answered all the questions correctly.

Are these test audiences
Nope; just families visiting Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA.
Nah they're test audiences

Where's the 4d

Did it include any 3D?
You could see where it probably would look 3D in a proper viewing area with 3D glasses and whatnot. But for outdoors in an open little seating area in the winter at Christmas Town, not so much. :)
To me, it's just not 4D without 3D.
0:24 I feel bad for the kid that's crying
No

Yay

In the original it’s “Finish the Job”
I guess this is the remake of the original Rudolph, the stop motion is smoother, the voices are great, and they removed the singing
Special 4D version made for theme parks and whatnot. :)
