Interesting question. I really like a song from "Joseph and the Amzing Technicolor Dream Coat." (Is that the name of that show. The song is "Anything Will Do." It's very simple and straight forward, but with a melody that sticks. I really like his treatment of melody, which is how I compose. His music has characteristics that really make it live. I admire his work, of course. I like several of the songs in Phantom. I just really love music of all kinds, and especially singing. Children singing is quite wonderful.
I'm missing my Charlie Brown Christmas songbook. , but I can still play it all with my eyes closed, but I'd prefer to have a look at the music. It's here somewhere, in my personal music library, which is vast. I will play for the town's tree lighting with singing children and a sing-along with the audience. There's a parade planned and a number of other activities. My participation will be minimal and fun.
