Thank you for watching. Just a little bit info about my condition. I have been trying different arthritis medications over the last 2 years and hope to find one that works for me. During this trying period, I have to take Prednisone to help with the symptom. It messed up my appetizer. I feel hungry all the time and I eat 3 times as much compare to before. I had to cook lots of vegetables and low-fat meat just to fill up my stomach and prevent me from eating rice and noodles. Because I am Asain, and I am constantly wanting to eat rice and noodles. Especially I am testing and cooking all the time. So it is very difficult.
Well, below are some of the recipes that worked for me, you can check them out if you want.

The word you're looking for is appetite not appetizer. Appetizers are the small plates of food you may order before a main course like egg rolls or dumplings.

I too have a condition. I am what doctors call a "fatso." I am now on a strict Atkins diet, since that has always worked for me, and it's the only thing that can break me from my carbohydrate addiction. I am going to try this recipe, but I will use a sugar substitute instead of the sugar. It looks great.

Just turned 80. I've had a life long love of cooking (not professionally)...German, Polish, French, Italian, Jewish and over the last 10 years or so, Asian cuisine....Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, etc. I love the techniques, the blending of the various sauces, aromatics, etc. You are my favorite. God bless. BTW...your carbon steel wok is my 3rd, and last, which I bought recently, and my favorite.

Love your channel and I have become quite proficient in wok cooking since my wife purchased your wok through the Amazon link last Christmas. This will be another recipe that will be a favorite. As for the arthritis, many of us deal with it every day and sometimes the pain is worse some days than others. Be thankful it could be worse. I'm 65 and had prostate cancer 21 years ago, a kidney removed due to a tumor 8 yrs ago, and 4 bypass open heart surgery 6 yrs ago. I would not trade my experiences with these issues. I saw the hand of the Lord our Creator within these events and the strength gained overcomes the daily struggles. Arthritis is a pain for sure but it reminds me, there are those who have much greater ills that they struggle daily with. Thank you for sharing your talents and yourself. I tell everyone I talk to about cooking topics about you and your cooking channel. Keep that beautiful smile, it lifts my spirit every time I tune in. Big Shweet

I've really enjoyed trying out Mandy's different recipes, especially this one! One of the things I've noted she really has done her homework putting these recipes together, as far as the amount of ingredients that will fit perfectly in the wok without over crowding it, and most importantly the flavor profiles. I'm learning!
The only thing I did differently on this recipe was to add about a 1/2 tbsp sesame oil and tossed it in right before adding the sauce. I like VERY spicy food so I doubled the amount of chili's, split and de-seeded them, and soaked them in the water (warm) the recipe calls for and then added it.
It turned out delicious - and HOT! If the top of my head doesn't sweat it's not spicy enough for me!

Thank you for showing us this, Mindy. As I've said before, we are 100% trying to learn all of our beloved Chinese dishes, because we just can't eat out anymore. It's too expensive, even worse now in Nov of 2022. So, each of your videos help us create the recipes at home. I used to love eating out with the family, but we take care of my 92 yo Mom and she can't get around people with germs and (possible) Covid. So, we spend a lot of time watching your videos now and trying to learn from a Top-Notch, World-Class Chef like you. Thanks for sharing all of your wisdom, Mindy.

Hi Mandy, I made this recipe twice but without a wok. Both times the sauce was runny even when I cooked for a couple of minutes. I added more cornstarch and it thickened better. I also added a little more sugar to my taste. Next time I want to double the sauce because it’s so good and it will make it easier to eat with rice. Thank you for your recipe 😊

I've just subscribed to your channel because this looks so good.
I'm a 62 year old who cant work anymore because of my arthritis.
I've never taken any medication for it because I never believed it would do any good.
    Theres no cure for arthritis.
In 3 more days I'll have completed another 20 day fast.
This is how I keep my weight under control because I dont get much excercise.
I use to feel bloated and overweight all the time. I had stiffness in my neck that went on for a couple of years to where I couldn't turn my head completely to the right or left. I had to turn my whole body.
I never knew what was causing it. I thought it was going to be a permanent condition.
I was also 30 pounds overweight.
So one day after completing a 30 day fast the stiffness in my neck had completely disappeared.

Spot on good. I just made it. I can see how the recipe would adapt easily to different proteins and veggies.

Thank you for this recipe. I changed a lot of it by having steamed vegetables and frozen shrimp instead but still works I also don’t have other sauces but only teriyaki and soy sauce still works with the cornstarch. It’s quick and easy food I can eat after work.

Oh my gosh. I'm sorry to hear about your illness and disease but I'm so glad I stumbled upon your video. I was watching several other videos to get an idea, but I chose this one because of the ingredients used for the sauce. I still blanched my broccoli because I prefer that texture, but oh my god. I don';t know if I was hungry as heck, but when I finally finished plating everything and took a bite I literally screamed "OMG". If you've ever seen the anime Shokugeki, that's literally what happened. The amount of flavors that bursted into my mouth. The only thing I did different was use beef tallow I had from the fat I cut off from some meat earlier that day. I'm so glad I found your channel and videos, gonna really dive into this and dig into my cultural roots. Thank you so much. 多谢 , 多谢 . 🥰

I would love to learn the spicy sweet garlic sauce recipe served in restaurants. Mine near me is spicy! Complex, and divine.
