This is a live, semi-improvised ambient album performed entirely on one small eurorack hardware skiff. This is music deliberately created to listen to while you are living the rest of your life. The goal is this to be the soundtrack of your reading, emails, relaxation, conversations, and so on. Here's hoping it colours your day nicely.
I've also written some notes and recorded the performance video because that's what I personally enjoy; I hope it can be useful to see how the music was made for you.
There's a more detailed walkthrough of the setup and preparation on my Patreon, if that's something you're interested in.
Thanks for listening.

I still find it impressive how easy it has become to go to some place outdoors and make electronic music for over an hour powered by batteries only.
Same here. Hoping to do something similar in the near future.
I just lost a close friend - and im listening to "Confluence" and absolutely broke down in tears - this is a HARD listen .... Thank´s Jay - this is a very special album you made here ....
I didn't know I liked ambient music until now
The strings rumbling and life flowing on, the promise of a new day of adventures as the moon goes west and the sun prepares an ascend. -Inspired by my meditation while the first three tracks rolled by…🌀🎧🕯️🌊🕊️So beautiful!! And lush.
Who am I to judge it?
This is outstanding, Jay. A lesson for people like me, wanting to get lots of gear for just be inspired by machines, where the real and deep inspiration grows from these simple setups and natural environments.
Congratulations.
No easy task to perform live for 80 min brother. Incredibly inspiring music.
Good evening Jay! Thank you for this amazing music 🎶. Super well played and presented. I hope everything is going well in Your world 🌎. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Expressive...just the way imagining myself being creative, too. Thank you.❤

Yo Jay, this is real cool

New Brighton Park looking at N. Van.
Great sounds!
Exactly right. And thanks!
I came to say the same thing! curious what you used to power the gear and how it felt sitting on the rock.
@@brentwadden_ Battery is shown on screen in the first couple of minutes of the video. Krisdonia something or other. It was awesome, although my body tired before the battery did.
brilliant
as always
Lovely system..beautiful music..modular master!
Love this! It has a similar vibe to the Elden Ring ambient tracks when going around the world. Always loved how it made me feel, it really fits the beautiful but terrible world, and this does exactly the same!
Beautiful. Needs few other words!
Cool. When the tugboat rocks up it's like that video of the guy playing piano for the elephant in the jungle
I love that guy. I love that elephant. This is high praise.
very nice listening while animating (work) and imagining I make something similar :D
AWESOME!
I wish to understand and build up exactly like this a Euro rack unit....

You need to change your name from Jay Hosking to Paul Stretch.
Great, slow patience. Great stuff.
Sounds like the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack. Well done!
this is so wonderful. listening with my headphones on while I do crosswrod puzzles. some great sounds. so cool. May I ask where you're filming?
New Brighton Park in Vancouver, BC, Canada. And thank you! I love hearing it's good crossword music.
Need a breakdown of that rack 👀
- and how long did that take to put together!
Is that the Amiga speech from Workbench?
Nice album, will buy it from bandcamp, will it come to apple music store?
Yes, eventually. Usually 6-12 months after Bandcamp. And thanks!
@@JayHosking Thanks I did get a few of your albums on the apple store, I may wait on this one since I am a subscriber to apple music.
How do you say "epic" in Canadian?
Like your favourite gitch, or a beauty chesterfield, or as far from hoser as possible?
"eh-pic"
listening to this instead of studying for psyc101
Try it with the studying! Practically what it's designed for!
Excellent.
Oh my god, wow !! What a slap ! 😍
Absolutely beautiful, great art, genius, it's not simply a modular performance there we are beyond, it's a museum work ! 💪
Truly incredible I don't know what else to say, I have tears in my eyes, it's just magnificent !
THANK YOU JAY ❤🙏
A4 Estuary is my favorite, definitly ! He's remind me Aurora of Hans Zimmer 😍
