51:16 I just google-maps'ed Reykjavik. Unless in a B&B or hotel, eateries seem scarce. I did see a "Pablo's Fish & Chips." So in Iceland, you have a Spaniard, or a Hispanic, running a British-style fish-and-chips? Definitely cosmopolitan. :) Update: Evidently most eateries don't show from an elevated map view. If you zoom in to street view and then back up a bit, you see a bunch more places, including a KFC of all things. And, if you ignore the individual residences, I've never seen a city with so many non-rectangular and seriously odd-shaped buildings. If you vacation via the google of maps, have a view!
It's interesting because adrenaline actually changes your vision and the way you think. In fight or flight mode, an animal in the wild might not have time for indecisiveness, so adrenaline makes one's decision making more black and white to make decisions more quickly.
Why didn't you castle at 15:45? I often wonder why you do that. Putting the king in the center like that why is it better than castling? You still have ti move out the rook. Or is it cuz you want to push the pawn on the side in front of the rook?
I think it's because there's no queen, so king in the center is slightly better (especially there's e and f pawn to protect the king from white rooks attack)
Yea, to move the king to the center so it can help both sides in a pawn endgame. White king is doing the same thing too at 16:23 . You can see the white king is moving to the center. Also, he didn't castle because he want to fight for the open d file. White's rook is already controlling the file and eventually doubling up the rook at 16:09. So he move his king up to support his rooks at d8 and immediately shutting down the opponent's double rook, leaving no active rook for his opponent.
Always love watching some chilled blitz with Eric's chilled voice.
1:51:58 that queen was trapped after rb4
Yeah he had the same opportunity twice

Reykjavik has a lot of great restaurants - smoked lamb and smoked puffin (!) being a local favourite. It also has a great coffee scene.
