I have this in the oven as we speak.
How was it ?
Years ago my Mom had gotten peaches ready to make a cobbler and left them in the fridge while she was at work. I came over, looked in the fridge for something to eat, saw the peaches, added sugar to them. An hour or so later my dad came home from work,
looked in the fridge saw the peaches and added some sugar. When my Mom came home, she made the peach cobbler, she said she couldn’t believe how sweet those peaches were, I said well they ought to be, I added some sugar to them, my dad started to laugh and confessed that he too had added sugar, and of course my mom added sugar before she put them in the fridge. We all thought it was the best cobbler we had ever had. Mom also made a bottom crust and I loved eating that gooey bottom crust. She did make her crust from scratch, I do too, but it’s not my favorite thing to do, but those frozen crusts taste and smell off to me, like there is a preservative causing the smell.
Your cobbler does look perfect, bet it was delicious too. I never thought about baking the bottom crust first, but I’m going to do that next time I bake a cobbler.
Looks Good & Easy.
