I think a small child heard you say butter tarts ?
She's going to be quality control for the day dad so get it right . Love seeing kids watching us cook .
My kids would watch dad cook because mom had many more jobs around the house .
Besides I worked a lot when they were young in the 90's .
Just had to throw that in as I remember the days when they were kids. Great job .
Thankyou for the recipe .God bless .

I grew up with these, predominantly served at Christmas. I put a bit of shredded coconut (instead of nuts), along with the regular ingredients.
They are delicious, easy to make and disappear fast lol! Thank you for making this video.

Love your channel! I was very fortunate growing up. Both my parents were excellent cooks and my mother's butter tarts were the best I've ever had. She was a "dash of this and a wing and a prayer of that" kind of cook, and I still remember she'd use "butter the size of a walnut" in her tarts. To this day, some of my best creations have no recipes other than understanding how ingredients interact with each other.

Hey, glad you like the channel! Appreciate the kind words.
That’s awesome that you “feel” your way around cooking…I love doing that, and experimenting in both baking and cooking

Those look delicious so I will have to try them. I will have to use shortening instead of lard because my oldest son is vegetarian.

That reminds me of pecan pie filling without the corn syrup. I like your recipe better.

Just for fun, I will write my suggestion in Portuguese. * Coloque o recheio líquido numa garrafa plástica, pois assim fica fácil colocar o recheio em cada tart shell.

If any Canadian food deserves an international following on par with poutine, it's butter tarts.
