@@JT-ly2xp Sounds good, the Honda guys mostly do Speed Event Series and the odd tuning day, even if not driving I'm usually hanging around on the laptop telling people to drive faster :)
Reasoning for choosing the honed bbe + bosch dbw throttle pedal instead of opting for a full pedal box? cost & fabrication factors i'm assuming? Great content. Keep up the good work!
That's right, a proper pedal box setup would likely be 4-5x the cost of my setup, and much more fabrication required. It's a smart thing to do later down the track as it would let me move my seating position rearwards, but for now I just want the car finished and out testing :)
This is great brakes is actually my project for june Whats great set up to keep 15in wheels but have more braking power also I was thinking about ABS removal and was wondering If you had way to contact you as I wanted to touch base about booster set up and see if you coule help with chassie question I have
Hi Mike, there’s a couple good options for keeping 15” wheels, depending where you live. In Australia, JDMYard sells a 298mm Alcon setup, and in USA I think ASR sells a 300mm AP setup. Not all 15” wheels will fit, especially high offset ones, but these setups are really good. For something more affordable, the Honed Developments adaptors for Porsche 986 brakes is a great setup too, but the rotors are narrower than the Alcon/AP setups and don’t take as much heat during long sessions on track. I ran the Porsche setup on my old EG and it was perfect for sprints and track sessions less than 15ish minutes. Deleting ABS in these cars is a good idea as the factory system does not work well, and I recommend deleting the booster too for better pedal feel. Thanks! Nope, in almost all instances traction bars cause more harm than good. Only high-hp drag cars would need traction bars. For circuit cars, the extra suspension arm (the traction bar) usually isn't perfectly on-axis with the existing suspension pivot points, so it causes a lot of binding. Good compliance bushes (either hardened rubber or spherical) are all you need
are the sensors the ABS pressure sensors that BMW uses?? or are they a different Bosch sensor? (I love the brake system so I am doing something similar on my 99 GSR) Thanks mate! @@technologicmse
@@joshmoline3802 yep that's the ones, they're 260 bar I think, I bought them directly from Bosch. Bosch do sell 100 bar sensors which would be better (more usable range) but they were more expensive.
Awesome mate! Love the detailed explanations of the set up. Will certainly be following this one
Excellent work
Love the series, keep it up!
Wow, small world. I think I saw your engine at Foky's shop last week. He built my gearbox. Awesome work!
Yep! Picked it up last Thursday
@@technologicmse Nice! Hope to make it to a track day with you guys if one lines up on my work schedule.

Sick build brother!! Question with the pci front lca you don't need traction bars?

@@technologicmse thank you very much! I gratefully appreciate your input. New subscriber!
what distribution blocks are you using for the brakes? Thanks!!
They’re from GKTech, great products! They take a bubble flare rather than the usual inverted flare, but the pressure sensors screw right in
