Keep in mind that this show was semi-scripted, and that the participants were encouraged to be outrageous and controversial. Those dates that were deemed boring never made it to TV. Participants knew this in advance and had an incentive to stand out. Many of the couples who appeared together on stage never saw each other again. LC was great TV, but it was much like the reality TV of today--light on "reality."

We didnt get spaking back then for staying in the house so the light company came over my son says and kicked off the meters and wrote a note i can see you i called the police but i got a hosiptal bill instead boooooo so rude
