I feel like I’m watching a movie. The secret communication, high stakes, casino security. There’s so much more to card counting than I imagined. Excited to see the next one!
Yes, it's awesome. Me and a friend of mine have a magic show and have a secret language to communicate things too. Never used it in poker or anything, but people are flabbergasted when I know exactly which card they picked while I was nowhere near.

Agreed. I have absolutely no interest in blackjack, casinos or even cards but have watched all these card counting videos and find them utterly fascinating
I hope you never stop this series. The content itself is obviously gripping - real-life versions of stories we've all seen in fiction; the fact that you're not only giving the finger to the most predatory industry on the planet and taking their money, but also showing the public how it can be done, is just brilliant.
@@ichmagheringway89 you could make arguments for that, or sex work, or pharmaceuticals, or for profit prisons, and probably some other stuff. but casinos are bad enough that it's perfectly fine to use a bit of hyperbole there
Counting cards is easy. You can do it. Memorizing the basic strategy is the next thing. Then, understanding when to vary your bets based on the count is next. Followed by actually being able to do the math in your head on the fly when multiple decks are used and dividing the number of decks used (or left) into the count and taking that number and cross referencing it to a decision, to me, was the hardest to do. So, I just stuck with the basic strategy and card counting with slightly varying my bets. It's tougher and longer to win that way though.
So pumped to see this series back Steven! Fantastic first session, the editing, storytelling, and suspense is phenomenal. Thank you for continuing to create this content.

Love the videos. Went to Vegas a few weeks ago and was back counting while a buddy played. Saw a running count of -40! Had only been practicing single and double deck at home so just was in awe of it. He had a 17 with a dealer showing 10 and asked if he should risk it. "yeah, definitely" and he got a 4! Won $200 and we left after. Fun times.
@@stevenbridges Negative 40! So so low. It was insane. Dealer had multiple 5 + card hands. My buddy split 5's 4 times, got 2 more 5's and doubled those.

Ok, thats deff my favorite channel in youtube, already saw all old videos, had nebula just for you and now your back!!! lets go dude, keep hitting the big boys
14:15 you hit on an extremely important concept. I noticed that when I started learning basic strategy. I started working on rationalizing each decision when I studied the charts and that allowed me to apply that rationalization when I play if it is an unusual situation that I can't remember.
This video randomly popped up in my recommended, and as someone who has never looked at anything like this before this was super interesting and I really enjoyed watching. Thank you!
I played blackjack many years ago when single decks were used at almost all tables. I’ve seen pit bosses pick up the discards and count them down right at the table if they suspected someone counting cards.
Great video as always Steven! I’ve been a BJA member for over a year now and have put in a handful of hours in casinos here in Atlantic City (I’m a dealer here as well). It’s been hard finding more AP’s to talk to or get consistent play with, so if you have anyone I could talk to, to find more more AP’s interested in working as a group here in the US or ever decide to come revisit, I’d love to demonstrate my knowledge and work closely with more AP’s.
Thanks mate! Well, honestly I think BJA is the best place to post. Most of my counter friends are from BJA. Get to know some people, make a group chat, see what happens
Rules against card counting must be the single most ridiculous thing ever. Also wtf is up with people refusing to cash you out after you spend money on their lottery game. That's straight up mugging.
It happens all the time. Sports betting will also ban people who are too good at predicting which teams will win. Casinos are legally allowed to be scum if they pay off the politicians enough.
"Rules against card counting must be the single most ridiculous thing ever. " how so? I mean itsnot really rules its just a business protecting their bottom line by refusing people, its like an all you can eat bufet and telling people who just downed half the buffet that you wont be servicing them next time vOv
@@Leon-jx8wc it probably already is, but i didnt comment on that part quiet obviously so i dont know why you tag me if you want to talk about something completely different
Suggestion for future team play: If there is a known card counter, such as yourself, go to the casino and don't participate with the team. Count cards as you normally would, varying your bets, and draw the attention of the casino towards you as a diversion. You won't even have to stay long. Leave before you're trespassed and perhaps come back a while later. The casino may not scrutinize the others on your team because they're not as well known, they're not varying their bets, and the casino is obsessed with you. Also, have more than one BP so they can arrive and leave after or before the team players. You might even get to have more than one on a table during a good shoe (betting different amounts). But don't do that more than once a session. For the record, some casinos won't let you "Wong In" like that in the middle of a shoe for the very reason you're doing it. Also, the BPs should have a player's card and spend some time at baccarat, video poker or some other low -ev game, even on days before the team arrives to establish a history as a gambler (obviously not for a lot of time and for somewhat lower stakes than they'll bet at blackjack). One of the BPs can even have a "spouse" with them who watches (putting on an act when the BP loses a hand) or plays low stakes roulette or something. Also, the BP can stay at the casino's hotel if it has one, but most of the rest of the team doesn't. Good luck.
The spouse signalling to the low stakes rouletter may alleviate some exhaustion. They could communicate the count via a roulette bet too. Perhaps switching roles every hour would help to divert whilst improving energy levels. However, it may seem fishy to bet €5 and then wong in for €2000. The diversion counter is also a good idea, but it depends how long it takes for them to suss you out. You could be out in 15 mins, as opposed to 6 hours. Also these extra team members will reduce individual EV.
Steven struck solid gold by changing his channel from him performing as a magician, to card counting. This is easily one of the best, if not the best, series I've ever seen on TH-cam. I know Steven shot himself in the foot by posting about his card counting publicly since the most important part of being a counter is doing anything to avoid being recognized, which is almost impossible now due to how many people in the Casino industry have seen his videos and know his face, but it led to countless hours of entertainment and support from his followers, so I'm glad it still worked out for him in the end. Wonder how long itll be before he's literally not allowed to play Blackjack in any casino in the world with how popular his channel is...
This video was so interesting and captivating, I often lose focus when listening to details, but I could not wait to hear the next sentence every time here.
I'm a dealer and the first thing I asked myself when you were going over the plan was "Did they send each person over to join the members club on different days?" Why don't casinos just keep track of the count themselves to see if someone is sitting down whenever the count is high and leaving when it is low again?

Looks to me like Brussels in Belgium. Can tell by the mcdonalds meeting point. Also, Belgium requires mandatory mics as well as cctv at all card table games

@@stevenbridges understandable, I'll keep it to myself. Always much more exciting to see on home turf. Congrats!
Looks to me like Brussels in Belgium. Can tell by the mcdonalds meeting point. Also, Belgium requires mandatory mics as well as cctv at all card table games
@@stevenbridgesno problem thanks for replying

I literally jumped out of my seat to click this video so happy to see a new series still amazes how you guys are able to do all this super good video
The “Irish” guy with the disguised voice is definitely Scottish. In fact I think I could nail down where he was brought up to a place called Invergorden
This is one of the few channels when a video from this series pops up I am ecstatic to watch. I’m a high limit gambler, mostly blackjack, recreational not profitable… this makes me want to take the time to truly learn this art however it seems like you MUST have others to be successful at it like this, how would I go about finding players and teams like yourself? Cheers!
