My pleasure! Absolutely loved the game. Some awesome stuff in this half too - especially loved visiting Kinoko's Hollow, the lovestruck giants and the Ikaruga inspired boss battle. The final battle was pretty damn epic too and the ending was beautiful. And thank you very much for the mention in the credits! You rock! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamer So glad to hear! We really put all of our passion and effort into making it the best game we could. And of course we had to put you in the credits! Just a theory, every perennial knight have equipment and abilities or skills unique to their own but i think there is one more power that is unique to each knights like at the start which is part 1, two perennial, the protagonist and one comrade turn to rival, as the game progress we see that the rivals body turn ragged and more destroyed as the story progress which means he keeps getting hit while the protag dies in one hit, i think the rivals hidden power is being sturdy than normal perennial knight while our protag have the abilty to respawn indefinitely. Just a thought.

The music, vibes and dialogue (including voices) remind me a LOT of Hollow Knight, despite there being no similarities in art style (aside from a few character designs).
Kinda sad and weird they didnt show the grandmasters corpse at the end. Bro truly got forgotton alongside the game cuz only the protag and the scribe lady knew of the game other than him.
mmh, that final boss...yeah, that's just truth alright. im not angry though, truth is an awesome boss design so im glad somebody remembered and made something based on it.
The Source/Monarch/Final boss could’ve just made a little cage and kept our protagonist inside it indefinitely like a hamster, and yet she chooses to instead engage in a hyperreal fight-of-the-mind battle where the player is only slightly bothered by the occasional shadow of their former enemies. The boss literally chooses her own death.
On one hand, Suicide could've allowed them to escape, so it's not foolproof. Plus she needed the power they had absorbed to complete her 'ascension', and the only way to do that is to kill them. On the other, The Source had a literal God Complex. Anyone rejecting her commands, especially 'her own scion', is a massive blow to her ego, and she couldn't let such a slight live. It's why she orders you to kill the Bloom knight, Ancient Kinoko, and Perennial Council, despite them not actually posing a threat.

This (and the first video) is how long it takes to play through if you don't die (I've edited out the fails). The boss battles are very tough and one hit means death so each one can take a while to beat. You need to learn how to deal with the enemy attacks and try different tactics/loadouts. It took me about 10 hours to play through. Plus there's lots of optional lore to read (such as the notes the old lady gives you about the bosses), and there's a Boss Rush mode and a good New Game+ mode. Plenty of content to keep you busy! :)
IDK the plot just doesn't hang together for me. The council is all like "mother spawns the very creation she claims to cleanse" and I'm all like "so? She's still creating knights to go kill the monsters that are actually attacking people." And the emphasis on the Knight's lost memories doesn't work either because they're just so... lame. All she really "took from [him]" is generic memories of fighting and dying in the conflict against the corruption. Big whoop. Also, I note there's no "side with the Kinoko" option. Your only options are "slay Mother solely based on The Council's Word because Spores Bad" and "Yes, Mother".
Part 2! Woo hoo! Thanks again Alpha Beta Gamer, always appreciate the support, you are amazing!

Hi! Yeah, it has a similar vibe. The devs describe the game as "Hollow Knight meets Titan Souls" :)
It's like it takes the best elements of both Salt and Sanctuary and Hollow Knight, I'll definitely buy it next month.
The art style reminds me of "Ender Lilies"
This is amazing!!! Every time you upload you come by with some really interesting games.
These designs are sick.
