Nadia, I don't like the TEAM version. All students have to add their name to the team and it wastes time. Just use the free version for your business. It works fine for up to 50 people.

No, that is not correct, you must be doing something different. I only have a free account. Is it because you are trying ot add in extra media or something. I tend to use Kahoot with basic text only.

Yes, Anna. In Kahoot. You could just have 2 or 3 questions, sure. A short quiz might be done at the beginning of a lesson just co concept check or check understanding of a previous lesson.

Thanks for your comment, Brenda. Pin numbers are generated automatically You can preview the quiz, of course. The preview will generate a pin. But this will change when you run the quiz for real. Great tool! Thank you for such a clear complete overview! One thing that's a bit unclear though. It seems that because the student sees the screen the teacher is projecting, they also see the answers that are correct and the answers that are incorrect. Is that wrong? Can the students tell from the responses that other students have entered which is the correct and which is the incorrect answer?
Yes, you do have that problem. You do need to think through those issues because when you share the screen, the whole class sees it. Zoom might be an option because in Zoom you can have breakout rooms.

You have to project the questions from your computer. The students have the red boxes and they look at your screen for the questions. Teacher projects the questions for example in Zoom and students log on to answer the questions. You can do it online, it works really well.
Is it possible that you use Microsoft teams and then when the participants are in that meeting, they can also go to the website with the same device they are using? For example, they can do both (teams and kahoot) on their phone? Of do they need a computer and a phone to combine both? Thanks for sharing your video #newbie
Sandy, either the questions come up on another page or it might be there is a limit on the nubmer of questions on the free tool. They keep changing what you get for free.

Correct the sound comes from your computer, so you have to share sound so thehy can hear it. I am releasing a complete update of Kahoot 2022 in about 6 days time.
HI, I tried this today. March 31, 2022. Maybe it has changed. I am seeing a completely different view and instructions on my end are confusing. I tried to follow what you were presenting but It seems that there were a lot of changes. And the hardest part to accept is that for the basic plan, it could only be used by 3 participants. I was hoping to at least get 8. I am so sad.

I haven’t read all of the comments, but is it possible to play Kahoot in a zoom meeting and have students play in breakout rooms? Right now, of course, all of my students are quarantined at home so I don’t know how to get them into partners or small groups.
Thanks for your question, denise. Yes, you could assign breakout rooms in Zoom and give them the game pin for the Kahoot before they go in. This could be shared in the chat. The number of rooms, would of course, depend on how many students you have, but you can decide this at the point of assigning the rooms in Zoom. How many times can we run the same videos. If I have four classes a day, and have three classes the next day, and wanted to use the same video for all classes.
I have 75 questions in Kahoot. Can a create a quiz of 30 questions (a subset of the 75 questions automatically) and also randomise the answer? My students have memorised the location of the correct answer.
David, I am sure you can duplicate a quiz and then choose the 30 questions you want to use from that and yes you can randomise the questions. I always get students to work in pairs if they are in the room that way only one student needs to use their computer. If you are teaching online there is not much you can do. the FREE tool has a limit of users but I think it is pretty big.

Hi Rajashree. You can send the link to Kahoot - kahoot.it/ in a browser on their phones or other devices. Then give them the Game Pin. The best way, however, is to get them to download / use the Kahoor app.

No as far as I know there is no audio option. However I sometimes play a TH-cam video first, ask the students to take notes, put them in groups and then play the Kahoot. It works well but I use short videos of normally 2-3 minutes max.
A whole program? I guess not. Not if you are going to make it public. I guess your recording could show extracts. it would depend on the function of the video ( ie to make money) and how big the extracts are ( you have some protection in education and for fair use too)

I think you can click on their names on the screen when they are joining and remove them. I can't remember off heart as I have never needed to do that. When you finish a game, close it, so you are ready for a new game.
I made an account, and a kahoot. However, when on the page where it gives you the option of classic or group, it says, “Play games with up to 50 players.” I was hoping to use Kahoot for my birthday party with 100 people
That has been a recent change. Why not put your friends into groups of 3 or 4 and that way they can work 3 or 4 with one device. It never used to limit the numbers. I didn't realise they had introduced that.

Ariel, I don't really use Kahoot in that way. It is not really a tool I use for grades more for formative feedback on their overall progress. In your case, you would have to ask them for their actual names.

It is a rather simple tool. The quiz is always there. I guess you can create as many questions as you want but normally the idea is that it works for quick checks.

Correct, in Kahoot you have to screen share the questions and the students look at the questions on their computer but answer on their telephone. In class you have to project the questions onto the screen. Yes, you can that is fine. You make the quiz but activate it at a later date. all your made quizzes are stored.

I don't think you can do that in Kahoot. It might be part of the paid offer but I don't think you can adjust the level in the standard programme

I haven’t read all of the comments, but is it possible to play Kahoot in a zoom meeting and have students play in breakout rooms? Right now, of course, all of my students are quarantined at home so I don’t know how to get them into partners or small groups.
Thanks for your question, denise. Yes, you could assign breakout rooms in Zoom and give them the game pin for the Kahoot before they go in. This could be shared in the chat. The number of rooms, would of course, depend on how many students you have, but you can decide this at the point of assigning the rooms in Zoom. I think you mean the same Kahoot. You can run it as many times as you want.
I have 75 questions in Kahoot. Can a create a quiz of 30 questions (a subset of the 75 questions automatically) and also randomise the answer? My students have memorised the location of the correct answer.
David, I am sure you can duplicate a quiz and then choose the 30 questions you want to use from that and yes you can randomise the questions. I always get students to work in pairs if they are in the room that way only one student needs to use their computer. If you are teaching online there is not much you can do. the FREE tool has a limit of users but I think it is pretty big.

Hi Rajashree. You can send the link to Kahoot - kahoot.it/ in a browser on their phones or other devices. Then give them the Game Pin. The best way, however, is to get them to download / use the Kahoor app.

It's a great question and when I use it fully online, I don't create teams but let each person log in individually.

No as far as I know there is no audio option. However I sometimes play a TH-cam video first, ask the students to take notes, put them in groups and then play the Kahoot. It works well but I use short videos of normally 2-3 minutes max.
Can you legally upload a Kahoot recorded program with Kahoot images/videos on TH-cam without breaking copyright laws?
A whole program? I guess not. Not if you are going to make it public. I guess your recording could show extracts. it would depend on the function of the video ( ie to make money) and how big the extracts are ( you have some protection in education and for fair use too)

How do I delete the student's name in Kahoot? I played a game last week and then I had 72 players.
I think you can click on their names on the screen when they are joining and remove them. I can't remember off heart as I have never needed to do that. When you finish a game, close it, so you are ready for a new game.

I made an account, and a kahoot. However, when on the page where it gives you the option of classic or group, it says, “Play games with up to 50 players.” I was hoping to use Kahoot for my birthday party with 100 people
That has been a recent change. Why not put your friends into groups of 3 or 4 and that way they can work 3 or 4 with one device. It never used to limit the numbers. I didn't realise they had introduced that.

If you want to grade students for participating in the quiz, how do you identify them unless you ask them to just use their real names?
Ariel, I don't really use Kahoot in that way. It is not really a tool I use for grades more for formative feedback on their overall progress. In your case, you would have to ask them for their actual names.

Is there a limit on the number of questions you can create? How long will it save the quiz for?
It is a rather simple tool. The quiz is always there. I guess you can create as many questions as you want but normally the idea is that it works for quick checks.

You can turn off Cookies from your browser. Search for it on YOuTube and put in the name of your browser. i am sure someone has made a video.

Correct, in Kahoot you have to screen share the questions and the students look at the questions on their computer but answer on their telephone. In class you have to project the questions onto the screen.
