Yo Dan! I’ve actually been running that first team consisting of Whiscash (mines shadow though), shadow gligar, and Cetitan. It’s been doing pretty good for me! Went 42-17-1 so far and I’m into rank 18. Having a lot of fun. Especially with Cetitan.
Hey Dan, you've mentioned a few times that the defence stat affects how well a pokemon will take charged moves. Kind of implying that it's only charged moved, but it's also super relevant when it comes to fast moves too. It's the whole reason people talk about breakpoints, often if a certain pokemon has a high enough defence it will reach a breakpoint and for example only take 1 dmg per lick instead of 2. Maybe you already know this, but you keep specifically saying it affects how you you will take charged moves which is a bit misleading.
Being weak to counter, it's a good thing that it's HP heavy instead of defense because fighting damage is often done more through fast moves than charge moves in this meta. That would help with incinerate too since fire is more through fast moves too. Steel is currently more done in the fast move side too, so overall high HP to not get farmed down is key. On the other hand I feel Rock is done a little more through charge moves, there's pretty much only Bastiodon and Carbink using it as fast move pressure and a bunch of Stone Edges and Rock Slides, Quagsire should be more common than Bastiodon
Seh-tod-ul Hey Dan, i saw this video, and the first thing i thought was dewgong kinda outclasses. I have 100+ games with cetitan in all 3 slots when ice shard was still a thing. I've used all the movests and decided that i just not worth forcing.
I’m not sure why you would want to run cetoddle. The pvpoke scorecard says cetitan picks up a wins against cres and pelliper and more soundly beats guzzlord. Totddle fairs better against carbink, but still loses.
I think the main problem is. This Mon with low defense is good vs fast attacks pressure. But ice is bad vs charge attack pressure as it is has no resistances. Guzzlord does wall ghost/dark fire water etc hard where it can flex its bulk. Ice can not do that
You got it right this time with Todd- le
Like a toddler and a titan
I think you’ve nailed it, pure Ice typing just too hard to build a team around.
Shame, I really wanted a good answer for Gligar & the dragons.
Fought my first one yesterday and was blown away by how glassy it was in Great League. It only took 2 Foul Plays from Umbreon to take out

Think meganium will get a move since typhlosion and gator got some?
How is dewgong so low down? It's everywhere!
Hey Dan! Can you visually represent when someone SHOULD throw their move on proper count?? That would be awesome!!! Thank you!!!

I think if I were to team build around it I'd use Jellicent/Azu/Mantine with a Gligar safe switch
Seems like this will have more play in something like Master League Premiere later this season than in GL
This guy is so close to being so good, it just needs a good defensive type, or maybe even adding the normal type to get STAB on the body slams

I leave the CE part to sound like the back part of ICE. Say ICE-TITAN and ICE-TODDLE(like toddler) and then just drop the I
lol I don’t have dewgong with good PvP stats
I guess it should be used in UL
I wish the meta didn't push me away from fun teams. I've been enjoying greedent but the rest of the team is classic core.

Same, had one that didn't need much. Very meh. And all the fire running around is just....gah
CTitan... just a por mans Sealeo
I hate the fact that you got to spend 296 xl + 400k dust for a slightly better bad pokemon lmao
Been trying out my rank 11 Ceteitan and can confirm, very meh.
It just keep lagging
Hey
