I am a fellow Conservative Party hater but you clearly do not have a clue what socialism is. This government is not socialist, they are fiscally conservative. Socialism is an economic system in which the workers own the means of production and there is no private property. In the United Kingdom, there is a private (so not worker-owned) means of production and private property very much exists. This makes our government not socialist. Referring to them as the "Consocialist" government is inaccurate.

Had a conversation with my partner last night about the NHS and the lack of funding!! I am onto you! What you are trying to do is collapse the NHS and privatise so people have to pay in insurances etc!! Just like the US!! Vulnerable people will not be able to afford the medications.. such as me… who is on 13 different medications a day for different problems! You have followed suit with the US so much lately and caused the same chaos here in the uk! That’s why you won’t put any more money in the NHS because you want people to pay for insurance and medications! Even people on disability benefits ! People who are working will not be able to do this and you will cause more deaths! People like me will do the homework on it all and the things your trying to do doesn’t benefit the people it benefits all yours and elites pockets
In 2012 the Health and Care Act took away the Government's ultimate responsibility to provide an NHS for all. That opened the way to changing the way the NHS was managed and allowed NHS trusts to contract out services to private providers. In 2018, the government announced a 5 year settlement for some areas of health spending, covering the period from 2019/20 to 2023/24. Under this deal, NHS England’s budget would rise by an average of 3.4 per cent each year in real terms. As a result of the additional pressures created by the pandemic, this was followed by a new three-year funding settlement in September 2021 to increase Department of Health and Social Care’s resource budget (day-to-day spending) by an average of 3.8 per cent each year until 2024/25. This uplift is part-funded through an increase to National Insurance Contributions, known as the Health and Social Care Levy. (Sited from The Kings Fund)
So what happened to the funding increases???
According to the Kings Fund you are expecting the nurses and doctors “to do better”!! How the hell do expect them to do better when you are running the whole workforce into the ground???
It also states that you and your big pharmas are providing patients with cheaper medications that obviously do not work properly! Tbats why people are not getting better fast enough and why there’s a huge increase in illnesses! It is Lord Carter of Coles who estimated reducing unwarranted variation in procurement and delivery of hospital care could save around £5 billion each year. The Getting it Right First Time programme has also shown that significant gains can be made by reducing variation in the delivery of clinical services! Basically lowering how the nhs care for patients and making them ineffective and inefficient towards patients! Yet you put money into your home town which is way more than anywhere else! SHOCKING!!!

The UK needs an integrated economy, that requires the government to take a holistic approach. If the UK wants a car industry, it needs its own electronics and steel industry, along with all the other support industries.
The failure to build mega battery manufacturing plant is yet another reason why car makers will not build cars in the UK.
Such is the neglect of British manufacturing, that it is now extremely difficult to set up the virtuous circles necessary for any manufacturing industry to thrive in the UK. It is obvious that car manufacture needs steel, electronic components, rechargeable batteries, chemicals for paints and finishes, wire and motor parts, etc. All need to be locally manufactured.
But the same rules can be applied to the manufacture of nearly modern products, from ships to television sets. It is going to be incredible difficult to put back what we have lost over the past forty years, but the alternative is that the UK produces nothing and imports everything. If that's the case, how is the UK going to pay for these imports?
Every government decision must be made to re-establish these virtuous circles, and until the circles are complete, it will be difficult for the circles building blocks to show a profit. Building batteries without the cars to put them in, is unlikely to be a profitable enterprise on its own. There is also a time factor involved, as the UK's competition are not standing still, and many already have the advantage of still having their basic industries, and are maybe blessed with more favourable geology. How long can the UK support loss making, incomplete, manufacturing virtuous circles.
Why is the UK in this position, most likely because it was persuaded that we could depend on foreign inward investment, foreign owned manufacturing, and we could make money from investment banking and a service sector, who's purpose was to sell expensive foreign imports to each other.
Who needs an electronics industry, when we can buy and import Chinese made televisions, mobile phones, and consumer white goods? Well now you know, the UK does.

There is something very wrong with the UK economy, when a mega plant to make batteries for EVs is forced into administration. This at a time when the government plans to force drivers to buy electric vehicles from 2030.
Where do you think we will get the batteries we need, most likely China.
If batteries and not made in the UK, what is the chance that electric cars will be made in the uk? I suggest none.
We have left the eu. The UK has sold most of its assets to foreigners, that is critical industries, utilities and infrastructure. The UK cannot pay its living expenses by selling expensive imports to each other, or by using imported raw materials to build houses. We can't simply print money. The UK must have an industrial strategy to make and sell things, and can't depend on meeting the demands of the home market by simply importing from the likes of China and the EU. The UK must regrow so many of the industries we have lost.

The government plan to provide money for the UK steel industry to convert to green technology is necessary if the UK is to retain the ability to make steel and other metals. It is unfortunate that the UK steel industry has fallen into foreign ownership, so that the UK government is actually financing a foreign investor. The choice faced by the UK shows the true value of foreign investment. Either the UK government finances the change to new green steel technology, or it loses its steel industry.

🤣 how do you make steel production " green " you cant...not in any way lol

    • @nigeljohnson9820
      @nigeljohnson9820 ปีที่แล้ว

@@lordveteran9126 green steel production uses hydrogen in place of carbon as a reducing agent to convert iron oxide to iron. it also uses renewable electricity for heat generation. This combination significantly reduced the CO2 emissions from the process, making it carbon neutral.
There is also an cold electrolytic process, but I am less familiar with the details.
A failure to switch to these newer methods of steel production will reduce the chances of the UK meeting its zero carbon targets, and will lock it out of some markets for steel that require low carbon production methods to be used.

@@nigeljohnson9820 that's great . But what is the comparable cost? And how are they supplementing the carbon content of the iron to turn it into sreal? We would also need factory's to produce saud hydrogen so that would have to factor in the production cost as a whole...and wind farms along us never gonna cut it .
