Good series on a revival. Have a '65 Tempest with the 14 inch wheels too. Have seen disc conversion kits that use the 14 inch wheels on ebay. Keeping my drums for a while too. Good job and best of luck.
I have a 70 .I made a mistake and capped off the vent tube on the passenger side that goes up unto the frame . Then I had to put a vent cap. I want to pull the tank again and put the vent tube back. When you put your tank in did you have any leaks up the vent tube after the install or problems ? Thanks.. Also the 70 model has the single fuel line without the return line

No I never had problems, granted I didn’t drive it a ton after the install but never noticed a clean and it ran fine
