  • Finding early spring channel catfish at a big lake, fishing from the bank. Spring catfish patterns can be a bit of a guessing game, as the temperatures play a big role in where the fish will be. It's good to have a plan when you go fishing, but it's also good to change strategy if it isn't working. That was the key that allowed me to find the catfish on this day. Thanks for watching.

    Common issue with GM trucks is the oil pressure sensor. Located in the back of the engine. Had that issue on my truck and on my moms Tahoe both had a failing sending unit

    • @OutsidewithTom
      @OutsidewithTom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, new sending unit fixed the issue. Hardest part of that fix was reaching the sensor.

    Good video production, you got fish fighting music and everything. Fish aren’t biting here yet, muddy water fish must turn on later I guess.

    i fish for channel cats everyday..the thread fin shad works good here..check your oil filter even a new one can be defective.your symptoms familiar on the oil pressure.i change the oil replaced the filter i didnt notice but there were not holes in the filter..blew my ingine over an oil change

    • @OutsidewithTom
      @OutsidewithTom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, I changed the filter first to rule that out, but it ended up being the sending unit, all good now. Was real pain to replace though, way on the back of the engine. Thanks for watching!

    shivers down my spine (non working oil pressure gauge on my benz many years ago...still hurts :-)

    • @OutsidewithTom
      @OutsidewithTom  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can definitely be alarming when oil pressure is involved. Fortunately, it was just a bad sensor, all good now. Thanks for watching!

      @@OutsidewithTom okay so here's the real question.. it's going to be like 28 here in the morning... I know I can catch cats. But would really like to go for carp. . It had been warm here till last day or so.. So do you think it's worth a try or should I just wait and fish for cats

    • @OutsidewithTom
      @OutsidewithTom  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RalphBarton-fishing Tough call. Personally, I've been focusing on cats while the water's still cold, I seem to have better luck with cats than carp in cold water, but that's just me. Could always put out baits for both cats and carp and see what happens.
