- Here we have the VW Polo V Typ 6R 1.2 from the model year 2013. We test the acceleration of 0-100 km/h and make a sound test. It´s 1.2l engine is available in four configurations. We drive the version with 51 KW / 69 PS. The top speed is specified to work at 165 Km / h. So this car is not very fast. But for city driving and on the road is it sufficient. If you want better performance, you should take the 1.2l TSI with 90 or 105 hp engine. If that is not enough, choose a 1.4l TSI Blue GT (140 hp) or the 1.4l GTI with 180 hp or for a lot of fun takes the VW Polo 2.0 R WRC Turbo and 220 hp. Thus, the Volkswagen Polo becomes a race car and is for VW Golf VII GTI competitors.

@@BabyBugBug it's long gearing because it's the same gearbox you would get with the 1.4 tsi. And so would pull allot better with the bigger engines

car manufacturers often use one speedometer for a range of different cars and engines to save on costs. i mean it wouldn't make sense to make separate speedometers for each specific engine model. plus theirs also that added illusion to drivers that their car can reach faster speeds even though it cant

The launch is pretty good, but after that it accelerates a little slow I think
My car had less than 1 year..And seemed so slow...A little time later(at like 30.000 km it was a different car) When people say cars loose horsepowers, mine just won, year by year more and more performance. I don't normally drive economically also. I like to feel the power!

I love this car
Both cars are fast. similar to a 1980s hot hatch. vw servicing will cost more parts will be more expensive. But the vw is likely to retain a higher value on the used market. It will also drive better with a higher mileage than the fiesta. I have been a passenger in many cars and the most boring experience was sitting in the back of a new fiesta. It`s a decent car but very very boring. And one of the few cars I got travel sickness in. Not sat in the back of a polo but having owned fords over the years and vw. The only decent Ford I have driven is the Ka. Very good car. But when I got a mark 4 golf that was much better. I dread to think what the new fiesta`s are like with the 1.0 ecoboost 3 cylinder engine. I have heard the engine is finished at 80k needing a complete rebuild.

My ex used to have one as a 90hp turbo variant, we were 5 people i the car. her at the wheel, me in the passanger-seat, two 100kg guys and a 70kg guy in the rear. Still got up to about 210kph, which is pretty strange because it always restricted at 200, my guess is that due to the increased weight it inected more fuel or something, i dont know honestly. regardless, still had a decent ride. these cars are really good at what they do.

@@TheGamerAlek you don't expect to shift it at 3000 rpm when you want performance. It goes really well when you give them 4000/5000 rpm.

well yh if you keep the revs high its just further strain on your engine not to mention the extra fuel the car would use. everyday driving you change gears earlier and keeps the revs fairly low
You can drive it normally at 4000/4500 rpm almost all the time and you don't need more. Just don't drive 6000 rpm all the time😁

Dude your Volkswagen really needs a belt fix, dont you listen to the unusual engine huffer buffer, thats due to the belt possibly or get your pistons cleaned up. The acceleration is not that of a standard 1.2, i have a VW 1.2 too but yours really need engine refreshment. Thats not the actual sound of a 3cycl 1.2 polo engine

Because, polo has got 75 PS power. So, polo is the more fast than your car.

he's aiming to see how fast the car can do 0-100 and reach its top speed so you change gears as late as possible for best performance. normal everyday driving you would change gears earlier to save fuel
