Resin 3D flower
I used Platinum Super Clear resin for this huge bowl. I used white Castin Craft pigment paste for petals and Pinata alcohol inks for the colours.

Lovely bowl Julie! I think it came out perfect, and I think you'd get a better finish using a thin silicone mat instead of the plastic that holds and transfers the wrinkles.

Like I said get a bigger bowl way before when you were fiddling with the smaller one lol! I do the same thing and run into problems when I do macrame too! I have to go back and undo parts and redo and it’s all just part of learning a new craft! Love your bowl you are so so talented with your art and resin as well as a hero for your work in the medical field. Btw I’d love your caramel and cashew popcorn recipe! Yummm!

Switching the bowl really made a big difference and it now looks great and you get the advantage of more of the effect you created

Oh, so pretty! It all works so well - love the transparent colors, love the blooming petals, love the glittery center! The glitter that spread makes it look so natural! The bloom definitely gives a 3D look! It's a perfect bowl for summer! (I know, you're starting winter, we just started summer!) I thought it was great that you were able to shape the bowl in the mold. It seemed easier for you. Brilliant! Thank you, Julie! Take care and stay safe.

Just gorgeous! When you were trying to put it in the bowl and it was being difficult I was asking you but you just weren't answering me 😉. "Couldn't you just turn the bowl over and forget about the plastic and put the mold directly against the bowl it would turn out the same direction you wouldn't have to worry about the wrinkles from the plastic??"
I ask you questions all the time it's kind of like you can't hear me when I'm talking to my TV!

Greetings from Mumbai, India. Love this creation and want to give it a shot. Please can you tell me total amount of resin used as i have a similar size mold so want to mix correct quantity. Thank you.
Should of just turned the bowl upside down n then layed the mould over the bottom of the bowl resin side up. It works
Julie your art is so inspiring. have you ever heard of Temu? it's a shopping site like wish. don't know if you are still doing this type of thing but I got 100 piping bags from Temu for .69¢. also I don't know if you can order from them but try. I got a lot of things I could use in my resin art.
