    Great vid! I use a tablet to fly so I put it in the place you described as holding papers. I put the tablet mount in the 3rd battery compartment. 1 battery in the drone, 2 in their slots. Car charger on the bottom next to batteries. Extra props in the pouch that sits on top of batteries and controller on top of that. A really well made bag. Versatile and durable. Also, completely correct about the extra strap weight. Would be better if they had a quick disconnect to remove straps you won’t use. Also, just so folks know, the buckles are a heavy duty steel buckle throughout. This pack is really well made. It’s impressive!
    Also mine weighs in at 11.5 pounds completely loaded with Mavic 3. 3 batteries, tablet, holder, props, car charger, ac charger, etc. it has hard sides and offers great protection. If you use it like a sledgehammer you might hurt something but if you show even the slightest care for your drone and equipment it will protect it more than enough.

    One may not want to spend $300+ for this bag as a stand alone purchase but boy I tellya' it's one swell piece of gear when added to and included with the fly more kit. I'm absolutely loving it. Not only does it hold all of the included gear with room to spare for additional batteries on top of the three battery compartment, it looks great, is so qualitative, and finally a bag worthy of a flagship offering. Thanks learned a number of things previously unknown about the bag!

    Just got mine today and super excited to get this lunch date over so I can get home and fly. Plenty of room for my backup Mini 3 Pro since they can use the same controller.
    Its not worth 300+ by itself, but given i can carry 2 drones, or 1 drone and change of clothes, well worth it.

    Hey Shawn. Hello from Nova Scotia. I know I'm a year late. I'm hoping you or someone else could answer this question.
    You mentioned the bag would fit an Air 2S and a mini drone. I know it would accommodate the extra batteries for one of the drones, but could it accommodate the extra batteries for the other as well?
    Right now i have both drones with their fly more kits. I am stuffing both kits (in their individual fly more bags) in a lowepro backpack camera bag. This looks like a potentially better solution

  • @Wombats-1
    @Wombats-1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’d easily pay 100-200 for this bag. I paid 40/50 just for a tiny pack for my magic 2, could fit 1 extra battery in that. I just got my magic 3 yesterday and I noticed right away it was a really nice bag from the buckles. They are solid metal, if the buckels are that good the entire bag is as well. It fits everything you need perfectly. The extra cost for the fly more is worth it

  • @RDens4d
    @RDens4d 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    My issue with this bag, is it lacks a good place to store the two filter sets that come with the CINE as well as the 15.5 wide lens and extra propellers. The extra pockets inside are either too small or too large.

    Interesting design, however, it seems time consuming to use. Pulling out the drone, RC and iPad out to fly seems a bit cumbersome with all the flaps, zippers and limited space. Putting the drone back in the bag after flight looks even more difficult. The backpack doesn't seem to have a convenient place to store an iPad mini, or Std iPad while having adequate protection. I agree that the large storage area is great for bulky things, like a sweater, shirt, or maybe a landing pad (if you're into those). However 98% of the time I would never use it for clothes, which the unique function it seems to be designed for. I think I would prefer a simple camera backpack that's reconfigurable, with extra room for a 4th and 5th battery, along with my iPad, power bank, SD card holder and DJI Action camera. Those bags are $40-$50 on Amazon.

    • @dgbrownnt

      Having the bag, it's definitely a messenger bag that can be a backpack in a crunch (and not primarily meant to be a backpack). It's only slightly larger than my custom case for my Mavic 2 Pro, but a lot heavier. For me the versatility is handy since my short walks for a particular shot sometimes end up being a lot longer, but ymmv. If you're looking for something to regularly take more than just the drone, I'd definitely invest in a bag meant for that.
      As for loading and unloading, if you have just the drone in there, it's super quick to load and unload (I was surprised since it's much faster than my Mavic 2 has been in misc bags). But that's also due to the new strap that comes with the Mavic 3 that folks it up and tucks in the blades (which should help with many bags). That and the fabric (very soft, doesn't catch on things). Everything that comes with the bag (in the kit) is easy to get in and out, but it's definitely not a luxury of space in there (an iPad Mini and a thin shade would fit in the back, and some small items in the main bag, but not much else will fit without using the expanded backpack section).
      Lastly, the backpack mode also works oddly well for securing the bag to things when you don't have a good surface to put it down. Today I had it clipped onto a chainlink fence and it worked really well (I unpacked the drone, swapped a battery, and was in the air in seconds). I don't think it was intended, though.

    I saw your bag video before I bought at great expense the Mavic 3 Po Cine Combo a few weeks back, the great looking practical bag being one of the added attractions . However my bag is evidently a cheaper version, has a questionable single flimsy looking plastic catch to hold it together, no fold out backpack option and does not have separate compartments for the batteries etc, so they scrape together with the charger and I have ended up putting them all in separate plastic bags in the case to prevent this. There are probably other differences which I have not researched yet. What I found daft and unacceptable when I first unboxed was why provide a bag when there is not enough space to fit all the items so part of the kit arrives in a separate box , such as the batteries, filters, chargers etc and you then have to try and squash them all in. Question - when did DJI downgrade their bags was this when the Pro version was launched and do I have any recourse... ? I don't want to have to exchange the drone itself as very happy with this.

    • @marksinger5954
      @marksinger5954 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I could not agree with you more! The bag they provide for the Mavic 3 Pro is utterly useless. Snug battery storage isn't just about convenience. It's about SAFETY! They used to include this drone with earlier models. I found one of the convertible bags on eBay for only $30 (a few cosmetic issues), so hopefully it will be in good condition when it arrives but I will say, the supplied combo bag is laughable at best.

    Hi Shawn. I am really torn about getting the Mavic 3 Classic. (I have the Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro, both with Fly More Kits) I had thought that if I got the M3Classic I would also get the Fly More Kit. I appreciate you showing so much about the bag. This bag has wonderful features, but I would never use the backpack option and I am concerned about its overall weight. Both the Mini 2 and M3P bags are very portable. Thanks for this review, and because of it, if I do pop for the M3Classic, I will likely look for a smaller bag. Cheers from Wisconsin.

For the money there are MANY other bags that are perfect for your specific needs. This is just a gimmick or something. Will be returning the FM combo and invest in more batteries.
