What I have learned from this lesson is the significance of Kinship, Descent, Marriage as well as the family. I have no idea what "kamag-anak" or "kadugo" really means. Thus, this lesson helps me to distinguish where structures of family I belong.
I also learned some unfamiliar words such as polygyny, polyandry and Compadrazgo.
It helps me a lot. Thank you, Sir!

The unknown words in this presentation have taught me the most. These terms will expand my vocabulary and assist me in writing the paper, particularly in formal writing. I've learnt terms like patrilineal and matrilineal descent, which relate to a person's ancestors through their father and mother, respectively. I've also learned the term consanguineal kinship, which refers to blood relatives.

The most valuable things that I learned in this lesson are the details about kinship and descent. Those are the most significant things I learned in this lesson. Also, in the last part of this lesson, I learned and became interested in the kinship of politics, such as political dynasties and alliances. I learned a variety of words in detail that must be practiced during formal writing, and it is important to learn new things because our minds have a word. Child marriage, exchange marriage, diplomatic marriage, and modern arranged marriage are all forms of marriage arrangements that revolve around family arrangements.

The most valuable thing I learned is that family has different structures and meaning. It is not only about having mother, father and seeds. Family occupies the family through blood, through lineal and through the family of your spouse.

The most valuable thing I learned in this lesson is the deep relationship with our family. I also learned about the definitions and types of kinship, descent, marriage across cultures, arrange marriage and family and household. The rights and obligations of the family and married couples are clearly defined in this lecture. This lesson was beneficial to me since I received new knowledge, particularly on this topic, because I was unfamiliar with most of what was stated in the video lecture.

The most valuable thing i learned in this lesson was about the Principles of descent and the Post Martial Residency Rules. Where in Principles of descents talked about the lines of ancestores, having single way or the mother to father side, father side only, mother side only, or even vise versa. Post Martial Residency rules explains the types of residency that we're having. Stays near the kin's or mother or father side, Husband side only, Wife's side only, Bumukod, and the maternal uncle of the groom side.

The most valuable thing I've learnt here is about the family bonds that will form throughout society, as well as our future family members' relationships. This topic includes several types of kinship, descent, marriage, and arranged marriage. These are crucial subjects to explore and research in order to comprehend how society's relationships system works. I also learned here are the types of relationships that can be developed once there is a marriage that happens.

For the lectured video that I watch, the most part of the lessons that I valued is the part that I might be able to get to know what is all about kinships and descents after all. Knowing that it has so many kinds and types that will make yourself wonder and be surprised of because of those things that you just know for a day after watching the video. Surprisingly about the relationships through the family up to the marriage has something to do with this lesson about our lives in a living which can literally help us to understand what does it all about and for what does it supposed to do for the every people in the world that can literally help everyone categorize or recognized their relationships in their families up to the day when one of the member of the family got married. And that`s it for what I valued at all.

My most valuable learnings in this lecture are the unfamiliar words. These words will add to my vocabulary and will be helpful in the paper, especially in formal writing. Words such as patrilineal and matrilineal descent which refer to someone's relative through their father and mother respectively are some of the things I have learned. I also have gained an understanding of the other word for blood-related relations which is consanguineal kinship.

The terminology I have not heard since, such as those put forth in the principles of descent, and the examples are unilineal, patrilineal, martrilineal, and bilateral, are the most valuable I've learned in this lecture. Furthermore, I was interested in getting into cross-cultural marriage because I hadn't heard the words and didn't know what it meant to them. Like polyandry, I had never heard of it before and had no idea what it meant.

In this lesson, I can say that my most valuable learning is that, marriage is a very big responsibility that may trigger a lot of changes to happen; that marriage has a wide variety of concepts and structures. I also learned here what Kinship, Descent, and Marriage are. Other than that, this topic also made me realize the different types of a family or a household each and everyone of us may have.

The most valuable learning that I gained as I watch this video is that the connection between families is very deep because if I didn't watch this video I would not know that it have different types of kinship, descent, marriage and arranged marriage. I finally have a knowledge about this kind of topic that open my mind when it comes to kinship and descent. And honestly, I am not familiar with the kinship and descent so I'm happy now that I already know it. Lastly, I'm really amazed in Marriage that have been tackled in this video because I thought marriage is just about a man and women being partners in life but it have deeper types and marriage across cultures.

It additionally assists me with grasping the various types of marriage and various kinds of organized marriage.

To be fact, most of the words tackled in this lectured video are unfamiliar to me and there are some words that I have only just heard for the first time and I admit that I am very fortunate to know all the meanings of all phrases but if we're going to talk about the words that really stuck in my mind that I will never forget are those words under marriage across culture. Knowing the meaning of Endogamy, Exogamy, Monogamy, Polygamy, polygyny and polyandry are the most valuable learnings to me because when it comes to cultural talks, I'm more eager and excited to learn.

The most valuable thing I learned would be the importance of having a strong foundation in a family. We sometimes forget that family has few more meanings. One, a family is still considered as family whatever state you're in. Two, marriage is not something that should be decided spontaneously; always consider the parents' approval as your marriage may have an affect to your family's upbringing. Lastly, family is not just about the bond we have as a one team in a household. Whether it is your relatives, spouse, step-family, siblings or parents; it is important to recognize them as your own and treat them equally.

I was unfamiliar with the terms used in this lecture at first, and everything that was discussed was new to me that will expand my vocabulary. All of the unfamiliar words were wonderful learning opportunities for me. Because the lesson is solely about relationships, it is simple to comprehend. The term kinship refers to the bonds developed between society's members. Kinship can be consanguineal, which is based on blood, or affinal kinship, which is based on marriage. These are some of my takeaways from the lesson: endogamy, or marriage inside an ethnic group, exogamy, or out-marriage, monogamy, or having one spouse at a time, and polygamy, or marriage with more than one spouse at a time. I also like the word "Compadrazgo," which can be interpreted as "godparent" or "our ninong and ninang."

Very clear discussion. Personally, I value kinship and family bonds. I hope though that next time we would discuss the implications of political alliances and most especially political dynasties on the Philippine government system. With this, we can trigger the students' critical thinking on how to better understand culture, society, and politics as citizens who think properly and act accordingly.

    - I know what does consanguineal kinship and affinal kinship means.
    - Endogamy which refers to marriage within theirclan or ethnic group while exogamy refers to marriage outside their clan or ethnic group.
    - How do monogamy, polygamy, polyandry and polygyny differs from each other.

My most valuable learnings in this lecture video is the meaning and definition of Kinship and Descent and what some else contained on it.
    Kinship
    - Relationship Of Relatives
    - Consanguineal kinship. These are your blood relatives like your siblings, cousin's, uncle's, auntie's, your mother and your father.
It can be obtained through childbirth or blood affinity and this is the most basic and general form of relationships.
Affinal kinship- These are your relatives when you are getting married and it can only acquired when you are married or have a life partner. The example Here is the parent of your future spouse or husband and their clan or race will be your relative
    Descent
    - Origin of Clan or where or with whom the clan or race originated
-Unilineal descent. This is the lineage with only one origin, either your mother's lineage or your father's lineage
-Patrilineal. This is the lineage that came from the lineage of Your Father
-Matrilineal. This is the lineage that came from your mother
    - Bilateral. This in turn is the same Origin of the ancestral line that is both in the mother and in the father

I learned that there are different types of family, marriage, and households. There is kinship based on blood, which includes biological parents and/or children, etc. Kinship based on marriage, in which after their marriage is the only time they are considered as affinal kinship. There are also marriages across cultures, such as endogamy or in-marriage, for example, a Filipino and Filipina marriage, and exogamy or out-marriage, for example, your daughter and another clan's son. There are also different types of arranged marriage, such as child marriage, exchange marriage, diplomatic marriage, and modern arranged marriage. And lastly, households wherein an individual or a family is considered a nuclear family, extended, blended, conditionally separated, or transnational family.

Kinship is important to a person and a community's well-being. Because different societies define kinship differently, they also set the rules governing kinship, which are sometimes legally defined and sometimes implied.

Exogamy refers to marriages between members of your own clan and members of another clan, such as a Filipina and an American.
