I respect anyone who has the balls to be different. That same drivetrain in a lighter, more aerodynamic car would run quicker ET's and mph's. But, not have nearly as much "style."
Extra props for the power windows too!!

For anyone interested, I drive a 1977 Cadillac DeVille Delegance, among other things, which I have owned since 1990. I purchased it at age 20 with my mustering out pay from the U.S. Army. It now has 126k miles on it and the oil still stays clean between changes. It is in absolutely fantastic condition and many people want to photograph it if not ride in it with the pillow top seats. So no, I don't think I will modify it like the one in the video. But it's extremely satisfying that the potential is there. It makes me laugh in joy every time I watch it. But even more satisfying that I have driven the same car for almost 30 years. That in itself is an accomplishment, economically as well as environmentally. You can't say that about a Prius...on any level.

My first car was a '78 Coup DeVille de Elegance in canary cream (that's what my dad called it).
I've dreamed about this car since '96. I had the 425, at sixteen you can't complain about aluminium heads a four barrel and big block tourqe. I always wanted the 500 though, my mom's '72 was the A1 King of the road if the race started at 60mph (off the line not so much). I always thought the way to go would be a 427 with a 8-71 Weiand. But that ruins the view from that sweet ass Detroit recliner, the nitrous is a classy compact solution. But I digress, thanks for doing what should be done. She's a sweet mochine.

      Logan's Hot Rod & 4X4
We all have those projects in our past. I lusted after a 3S-GTE powered Celica Turbo for over a decade before I finally built one on my second try. The first try I gathered the engine, trans and all the parts I needed before finally chickening out because the 1999 Celica I had ran so perfectly and never broke down. Sold all the parts.
Then, some asshat decided he didn’t need to stop for a red light and ended my dream car. That made me realize nothing is forever and I may as well enjoy the time I get to the fullest. I bought another, this time a 1994, and made a solid plan and executed it. It wasn’t easy but it was worth it. I still own that car to this day, although it’s no longer my daily. Apparently, 400whp is where a Toyota’s legendary reliability starts to become less effective. Besides, 8mpg isn’t practical for anything other than the track or the occasional cruise. 😝

I guess the long-wheelbase would help it be more resistant to wheelie, it would help put more torque down... Right?

Trying to look closely.......i think possible fiberglass front end.......not entirely sure.......it seems to have plenty of front to back weight transfer.......hooks pretty good......almost no twist......just goes straight.......nicely built and driven
