"Simple" - So, if I have hundreds of parts with different holes - that means that I will be stuck here for eternity. And it doesn't see the recesses at all?
I just bought this not understanding it only worked for the other CabMaker32 products. Garry - It would be amazing if you would make this compatible with the Inkscape or other programs' DXF exports. You could really close the gap between a lot of different 2D and 3D programs.
Is this extension works only in SketchUp Pro? I had downloaded it in Make but when clicked on DXF Importer, and after selecting a DXF file nothing happens. No error, no explanation, nothing.
Excuse my ignorance, but what is Simple DXF? I was looking for it online, but could not find any software with that name. I was trying to import a dxf file from Adobe Illustrator and maybe because of that it did not work.
It is available from Sketchucation and from my web site cabmaker32.com Here is a Sketchup link that you might find interesting. forums.sketchup.com/t/polylines-with-real-arcs-for-cnc-router/64342/13
Maybe there was a misunderstanding. I had downloaded the Simple SXF extension from your website, which gives me the options for importing/exporting DXFs, but no creation of DXF is available from it. I used it to import Adobe DXF which as I mentioned earlier is not giving me anything.
Exporting a DXF is creating a DXF. The Sketchup group must follow the specifications as outlined in the video and discussed in the Sketchup forum. The main purpose of Simple DXF is to create DXF for CNC and then read the DXF back into Sketchup to verify that the DXF is correct before processing it for CNC. As already stated - Simple DXF will import DXF's created by CutMaster or by Simple DXF. Simple DXF will NOT import adobe created DXF's as that is NOT what Simple DXF is for.
I was ready to purchase this accurate and convenient plugin. But this came out totally pointless useless piece of eptiness. Why wouldn they just make a two step tool? Select and export? Too simple?
Yes a two step tool would have been too simple. That's why it's a three step tool. I found out the way it works after some try and watch the video again...😉
@@ArtemDark Well You missed the point and you denigrate the work of another. You ask for a two steps tool as it works perfectly with three steps. that's all to say.
