Summary - Remus Puños finally has his life together, his broken years behind him. He has his own apartment and a column in The Village Voice. He’s recently reconciled with his twin, Roman, and his best friend, Virgil, and they’ve just scored a weekly gig at CBGBs.
He’s grown tall and strong and when most people catch sight of his leather jacket, Doc Martens, and spiky green hair, they cross to the other side of the street. Long-gone are his days of dodging fists back in Levittown.
So when his junkie neighbor bangs on his door at 3 AM, begging him to watch her son again for ‘just one day,’ he can't look the kid in the eye and say no, can he?

Ik this isn't a new comment/fic, but I noticed on my first watch and forgot to ask. Did u grow up near old gays in NYC or did you do a stupid amount of research, cause as someone from NYC, who grew up near the old gays (very fortunate to have a supportive but very straight family, who threw me at the Center™ very young, cause they didn't know how to support a young gay/trans kid) this story sounds like talking to the old gays. No matter what answer you have for that, thanks for repping their stories (at least to some extent) :).

I was wondering, if i get the motivation. Do I have permission to animate any of your stories @edupunknoob ? And do I have permission to pair them with your read alouds?
I don't really know how to answer this. Seeing you animate something sounds absolutely amazing but having my voice used one something else makes me a bit iffy and I think that's just because I'm so paranoid about people taking my voice for AI. Anxiety can be a fun one. @edupunknoob, what do you think?

Thank you for your concern, I think I'm going to continue taking a break until the new year, a lot happened in my personal life that just made it really difficult to record and then I was planning on running an event on tumblr and that has been a bit hard to keep up with as well.

I can't get to the story on AO3. Can someone explain the content warnings and/or tags?
There are vague references to child abuse and drug/alcohol addiction; some mild innuendo; swearing; alcohol use; references to systemic homophobia (story takes place in 1984 NYC.); mild violence (one punch between adults). No unsympathetic Sides, but not everyone makes the best decisions. Hurt/comfort, lots of angst, (and lots of fluff, too); happy ending
And the AO3 story requires that you log in to try to protect it from AI scrapers
