you got drafted so late, because of your rival. You destroyed him in the showcase and his draft stock went down. He is always supposed to be drafted before you. if he was drafted earlier, the other teams like the pelicans would have got you instead. LIKE SO CHRIS CAN SEE.

Yeah, they do that for the storyline, which doesn't really make sense because it punishes you for good defense.

Smoove, I've figured it out, Ellis will always be drafted higher than you. You shutted him down in the showcase so he got a late pick. Which means you got a later pick. Ellis and You both must play well in the showcase in order for you to be drafted high. Not a bug, just how the game was made.
also you have to be NICE to Ellis it happened to QJB

No I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with the age of him. With 24 you simply can't get drafted high. QJB was nice to Ellis but i think that is not important, and you can get No1. and Ellis will be picked after you. And I think the Stats that every CPU player drops aren't important as well because Ellis could have a scrappy game but when you get a (for example) triple-double and are young enough to get picked high (like 19,20,21) but you just get picked at 2nd Place, Ellis will be Number 1.
There's only one scenario that Ellis will be picked later and that is if you actually go 1st. But if thats not the case he could play bad and gets picked before you.

It was glitched because Smoove was offline and not using the online VC. You can see at 5:34 the game thinks he earned 0 VC and that's why he was drafted late.

The draft isn't fixed people! It just depends on the responses Smoove made to Ellis or his agent. Smoove, play it cool with Ellis. the more you get cocky, the lower you get drafted
Reason you were picked so far back is because you made Jackson Ellis look like a complete scrub. He is meant to get picked before you, but if you obliterate him in the showcase, he will drop down and get picked late.
No, from what I gathered from online. It appears that if you get into the grill of Jackson, then you get drafted after him. If you play nice, you get drafted ahead of him. Play it nice is generally the what the next gen is telling us to do.
It was his age he was 24 years old. I made a player with similar numbers but I made myself 19. I got drafted in the top 10.

and I'm curious how will he manage his stats in this one...since he's only 63 ovr. In the past few seasons he was much better from the start....and plus not so good team...maybe even he requests a trade at some point...I know I'd do that ....

So u have to get picked after Ellis, and smoove held him to 6 points so Ellis got picked late and smoove went last. So basically, the better you are the later you get picked. Logic for the win

Since you played really well at the exhibition, and this time the mycareer mode seems much more story-driven, I think you have to get drafted after your rival, and since he did bad and fell low, you had to fall even lower

Restart the series Smoove! Pretty sure you're not happy with the Suns too. So restart while it's still early Smoove! and take note that, the incident with Ellis backstage affects your draft. So try to play it cool.

Two things I'm not okay with early on (1min into video)
The voices are in EBONIX (I'm black BTW) - he's a college graduate but talks uneducated. The captions are basically translating his slang.
Secondly do all the players talk this way? Mayne feel me naw sayin'...

Actually, I think it's much more realistic, that you got drafted last in first round. I mean, those other guys got stats from college and everything, and our player, as i understand, is just guy from the street. So who would draft some kind of guy who played just one good game in early first round? Anyway, god luck and post more new gen videos Smoove.

nope. he played great but that personality test affects your draft stock. I think it may have been that question that asked about whether players or coaches should call plays.
