Sometimes people misspeak I am certain Stephen knows a dead man could not purchase anything . I don't think it can be edited . I want to point out that Paul was not mentioned with any references as to having any gate or foundation name after him . maybe someone can add something further about this . Stephen Bohr is a master and loves his life in Christ.

Mark Giambrone - Read the reply to Becky below if you really want to know the answer. This was not a misspeak by Pastor Bohr. You should trust his study habits better than this by now. I know you watch many of his lectures. Spiritual things are spiritually discerned, sir.

Judas DID NOT buy the field....Matt 27:5-7
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. KJV
    Acts 1:18-19
18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. KJV
They had the man who did buy the field killed so he couldn't testify against them.
1 Cor 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? KJV
Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. KJV
A little aposticy, apostises the whole lump......

Judas purchased a field in the sense of Romans 6:23. The wages of sin is death. Did Judas earn an actual paycheck? No...the text is saying that his life of wickedness earned him the reward of death. Judas...by his life of sin...purchased the field which was purchased posthumously in his wicked honor! Spiritual things are spiritually discerned my friend.

To say Jesus didn't literally mean 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb, which forces one to include the day before the crucifixion in the reckoning should be self-evidently absurd. According to accepted SDA interpretation of Daniel's 70 week prophecy, Yeshua was crucified in AD 31. In that year passover was on a weds (and indeed the gospel accounts testify there were two sabbaths that week (high day and 7th day, with a day in between)), and therefore He had to be crucified weds eve, which with a literal three days and nights, would put the resurrection on Shabbat evening. This is also consistent with scripture which never indicates that he rose on the 1st day, merely that when the ladies had come to the tomb on the 1st day, he had already risen. I understand this implicates the supposed inspiration of Ellen G. White. But as protestants who aren't supposed to have a superstitious view of any man (or woman), and are to to make the Word of God their final authority, so be it. Let God be true and every man a liar (Rom. 3:4).

Contending for The Faith - Passover was on a Friday that year. Don’t know where you obtain your so-called facts. I know Pastor Bohr has done his due diligence is obtaining when Passover was that year, but have no reason to be confident in what you say. Stephen Bohr has explained this many times in other lectures. The Sabbath that Jesus was ‘resting’ in the tomb (and saw no corruption, just like the manna) was a HIGH Sabbath, because the Passover Feast or always has an additional sabbath (rest day) the day after Passover - but the year Christ was sacrificed, the ceremonial sabbath fell on the 7th day creation Sabbath; thereby making it a HIGH Sabbath. The Jews had a different way of reckoning time than we do today. Any part of a day is considered a day. Jesus’ affliction began on Thursday evening in the Garden. He would have died there before his crucifixion if angels had not be sent to strengthen Him. He was sweating great drops of blood. His separation from His father and the weight of all the sin that was upon Him made it impossible for Him to see past His affliction. So His 3 days were the 6th day, Sabbath, and the 1st day (days were reckoned from sundown to sundown). The 3 nights were the nights of the 5th, 6th, and 7th day. The Gospels do not make any mention that there were two sabbaths that week. You are a deceiver; therefore, you are the seed (servant) of Satan. Even the seat of Satan claims that Christ was risen on the 1st day, which is now call Sunday - the venerable day of the sun god. Shame on you and your convoluted, false understanding of God’s Word. Study to show yourself approved, instead of grabbing at false scenarios to meet your preconceived notions. The Jews had a very different way of reckoning time than we do now.
