One of the interesting things about testing KHAN is that to degree this was better benchmark testing for OTHER commanders.

As, khan was the fixed item and the secondary was the variable. Obviously khan is random tho. But it was enlighten beyond Kahn.

So how is the 4 skills per 9 seconds worse then 2 skills per 6 or 7 seconds? Isn't the whole point of that skills cycle to fire off sills? Wouldn't Khan/Joan firing 4 skills, even in the longer skill cycle still fire more skills per second / average which would result in more damage dealt averaged out per second?
Can you dig into that report and see what's really going on?
It's not like the khan got better, but Nevsky is the real beast
I mean, you can use Dragon Lancen with Nevsky and you still got good trades

I think you can pair Genghis khan with Belisarius in kvk 2. I think Belisarius gives khan 30 percent defense and when the target runs away from khan because of his own troop march speed debuff Belisarius will catch the target and also deal 25 percent increased damage. You can also put the windswept set to cover up his own troop debuff,since Genghis khan will probably be a second march.
Chis can we get a updated tier list with relics, seems like ceaser and khan are probably far more viable now and should get a better placing
Basically in openfield if you have an expertise Khan you would swap it out with Saladin as most is using saladin/William this means you will once again bring aeth back by running saldin/aeth so viable to f2p that maxed khan early game and that also had saladin 5551 and William 5551.this good as your buffs and debuffs are spread across different marches and most ppl will target your khan first meaning they ignore your Nevsky who will just be tapping asses regardless who is the secondary
Would it be better if you tested against single target marches or 1v1 specialists like Sargon scipio /nevski mina/ boudica henry so as to get a better understanding of how 'good' khan becomes a/f the relic

Nevsky/will is very strong. Nevsky/mina is OK. Sala/will is good as well. Will sala/mina, or sala/khan, sala/Joan be good if I pair nevsky/will?

@chis 12:03 to be fair khan mina sounds like the god of rng kinda march even 10 tests won't get you a final answer, plus khan's got many things nevskt eants and nevsky's got many things khan wants that's why he is the only one really working.
The big question is if the relic makes Khan viable or if Nevsky is so overpowered that he even makes Khan work. I have all cavs maxed so I will try some things in our next KvK.

Nevsky is definitely the best cav commander right now, of course EVERY OTHER cav marches that don't have nevsky will lose. The real is question is WHAT ARE THE BEST PAIR for nevsky? This is where Khan gets into play, Khan with relic is strong enough to rival other Nevsky pair like Joan Prime and maybe even better in terms of 1v1 in the open field but not so strong that it's game changing. Overall I think the relic is pretty balanced, not too little not too much, maybe when the second relic drop Khan will be meta but for now he is balanced.
@@swordsaint9712 The best pair? What nevsky provides what another commander doesn’t have. Tankiness for Joan’s case or Williams’s.
@@swordsaint9712 I doubt Khan was rival secondaries like Joan and William who provides AOE damage and buffs in the open field. Khan Nevsky just looks like a Pakal Harald without anti-swarm
I need suggestions. I got Khan when I was in kvk2 after that I was waiting to get Saladin but due to my bad luck I didn't get it until I reached soc and even until now I don't have any good Cav commanders to replay it, so I was wondering if I should max it or not (it's currently at 5552)

Ppl keep saying khan+ XY. But they don't get that XY skill rage is lower than khan "before calculating any other skills" so even if you want to do something with both, xy should be primary his active skill is 900 rage requirement. then he gets -100 rage requirement from khan, then he gets -50 from himself. Puting his rage requirement at 750. If you flip the pair it would be 800
That being said those two will have the same problem as khan+joan you will fill your rage so fast while you are still stuck in your skill cycle. But it is not a problem if you drop horn/rage investment from tree a little. But the problem with that is that you will need a good alternatives then.

I don’t think that’s viable
Harald’s skills doesn’t work and he’s pretty bad in 1v1 scenarios. The enemy isn’t stupid, they won’t swarm it, but it doesn’t matter anyway because Harald’s main skills only work in open field.

Like all commanders with museum buff, if you did not invest in them before, there's no reason to invest in them now.
"Second of Downtime" should become a legit soundbite that you use FREQUENTLY

The only option this can work is put KHAN x Mina all the other combos possible for Cavs are so good already u can't break them like Nevsky x Joan and XY x William
This is the same comment I was going to make...seems like the take-away from this video is that you should consider Khan x William. Many people are running two cav marches today with Nevsky x Joan and XY x William. So, the question to answer is whether Khan x William is good enough to replace XY x William. Unfortunately no test results here to answer that question
I dont understand. If Khan is that strong after relic, he should have been still viable before relic released, but the case is not. Is that 10%def and 100+dmg that important?
Well, Khan is 2 gen commander, later XY and Guan Yu. I mean there are not much gen difference so with 100 skill dmg it become 1.8k in idk about video didnt watched completly just looked traded but somehow khan won lol but Chisgule saying somethings about icons and crits.. probably they fighted with equipments. Anyway 1vs1 not important. Important thing is aoe. Khan and nev single target pair lol even if guan scip lose. Guan scip can do x3 more kill ( well with slow troop type just x2 still better haha)

Still want to see Khan+Joan with modified talents/gear. if you know that they over rage on the skill cycle and get jammed up, it means you can change points from rage generation and put them into other stats, such as passing on the horn/drums and picking up another damaging or tanky accessory. In WoW you used to do the same thing when min-maxing tanking or dpsing with avoidence/crit
limits. Get to the limit, and then put stats somewhere else. If you know you need to slow rage down to a 9 second cycle, then move talents in gear around to lower rage generation and put it into other skills. Doing a dis-service to min-max testing if you acknowledge the rage limit but don't change the stats to accommodate.
Now I get why you don't, If you had to build gear or retalent for every pairings test you'd be broke. But i think it should at least be acknowledged.
I also admit this is not channel designed to min-max, but a channel for the average player and in that you are correct. Most players should not max khan, nor should they attempt a joan pairing because of the issues you mentioned.
It's also worth noting I don't think Chisgule is wrong, I'm just a Data Geek. A lot of Khan's Kit is in generating fast rage cycles, If you pair with Joan and are forced to Slow down the rage cycle, you are in essence nullifying the value of his rage skills.
the exception would be if you could get away with literally no rage generation outside of his kit and focus entirely on other stats, but i'm not sure the talent trees support that.
There is no reason to put khan with joan because they are an instant target
What is min-maxing?
@@markhilton5284 its a phrase that refers to a process of testing the minimum and maximum effectiveness. Gamers use it as a term when they are trying to figure out what a best possible outcome is for a particular piece of gear, skill, etc… often by using repeated tests or by going to spreadsheets and formulas
There are many points you are missing.
1- chisgule keeps saying " joan p and khan have this rage problem" but this is not the accurate reason to why they don't work. They don't work primarily because they are both MISSING the same things. Put two of them together and now you've got a march STARVED for health and defense.
2- khan × nesky are working exceptionally not only because nevsky works with everybody. But also because of some points of why XY nevsky works. The only difference is, khan does it better than XY but he has no aoe or debuff like XY.
So , khan hits his skill, nevsky fourth skill activates, nevsky hits then 4th skill re-activates, khan "30% " hits but this time he got the bonus from nevsky 4TH SKILL and Defense reduction so he hits MUCH harder than the first time.
That adds up to nevsky fourth skill uptime.
Add to that the 30% damage on start, the shortrage cycle that gets EVEN shorter under 50% and also, unlike joan the skill tree.
3- the PROBLEM with khan is not only about his kit. It is about his viability in the time framw between his musuem buffs and after the next cavs gen buffs.
What if xy gets 10% health and active skill dmg ? Now khan becomes completely irrelevant again? Ofc this is justan example. Also i don't remember the generations order nor do i know how to find the info.
4- regarding khan mina, that combo cannot be tested once, nor twice and maybe not even 10 times can show a fair result. Why? Well. Khan expertise 30% chance , mina fourth skill 10% chance, mina active skill 75% chance add to that the talents chances like feral nature... i meaan we've got the god of RNG march comb. 1 run can't make any sense out of it.
But yea back to themain point, joan khan cannot work even if they don't have that problem. They are a march with almost zero stats and multipliers.

@@shirohige9376 Honda is used as secondary, and when he is used so he still loses 3750 damage factor but they still use him as secondary, so using Khan as secondary will not be that bad

guan scipio is great in field but terrible in duels. you should probably use someone else to represent infantry in a duel. like a scipio cj.
Why not try to do it without equipment for both commanders so you guys will have same stats and stuff your just comparing commanders not gears
Bertrand/Khan has a 5 second skill cycle in rallies. Even without horn. Might be interesting.
There is nothing as a 5 sec skilk cycle in this scenario. Because everytime khan is using an extra skill he will delay the next cycle.
Khan reduced the cycle with 100 and generates rage with his 4th skill. Betrand adds a lot of rage if you max the defence tree. Just try it, it works. If Khan launches a second time, this falls in the fifth second. This combo has a crazy short skill cycle. I think betrand/nev will still be better, but it is worth trying.

At the end of the day, the 10% def is not much. Khan will still melt like butter, look at Nebu, he has 30% def and he still melts. I would rather not invest in him, and if you did, use him as a filler secondary commander to a Saladin or something tankier.

i just wanna stop by and prove why this is so wrong is so many ways why? - first off the people who has khan maxed they have played for 3years minimum and they have good enough Soc commanders that they dont need to use khan anymore. Dont believe me? Give it a try and see how hard you will get focused on field, It will be useless. one thibg you might wanna mention chis is that who can actually use it in reality kvk ball fight? 2types of ppl native kraken accounts example like nephisto that they will nax every commander we not talking about native WHALE but KRAKEN that might 5 players like those might exist in 50kds - the second type of ppl who can use it is the ppl who play in C/D seeds and have played for 4+ years and managed to max khan by not knowing what they are doing or just GH but still they would have enough Soc commanders to use so that just makes it one type of ppl who can use it the NATIVE KRAKENS
Yes, agree. Only weird hardcore cav players use khan. Using him even with the buff isn’t practical and optimal.
