It is fascinating how a simple game can turn to a massive franchise. It's nice to see the perspective of someone who was familiar with it, let go of, and have a retrospect. The one great unique thing about fnaf is that a typical horror game would have you walk around and collect something while avoiding a monster/killer where as here you have to sit in a small room defending of animatronics with a door. It's not for everyone, but I like it. The first two nights, of the 1st game, are slow and boring but gets intense afterwards. Also, if you're interested in a free-roam fnaf, id recommend The Joy of Creation.
The desolate hope is an underrated scott cawthon game, also the only timeline i accept is wendigoons because its not batsh*t crazy and afton isn't some mad scientist with fucking star treck technology who always comes back even though 6 concluded his story. In conclusion f*ck security breach.

The unfortunate thing is that security breach is universally disliked. If we ignore the poor quality and polish of the game, it’s simply not scary and it’s repetitive and punishing. The lore is the worst in the entire franchise too
I love Security Breach, but only because I can run around the location and let my mind wander as I explore. It's got a lot of great visual story telling ((I'm still wondering about the human sized stain in the carpet surrounded by wet floor bots in the atrium)), but it's not at all scary in the slightest. It's almost cozy. Which it shouldn't be. That said, if I want some good spooks, I'll just play some Batman Arkham games with the Scarecrow or Mad Hatter missions or something...

The entire vibe of the Pizzaplex and the Glamrocks are great, like, I can totally see them being an actual establishment that would be popular, and I adore all the personality that's just dripping from every corner of the map. The music is easily one of the best OSTs of the series, too. 😁 But as a horror game, it really falls flat. It should have been marketed as a sort of fetch quest adventure with some possible thrills, but the main problem was that the first trailer marketed it as some scary setting when it's more of a fun little romp.
Tbh I consider Sister Location’s lore to be way worse I’m sorry but “Willy Afton’s underground bunker full of robots he built specifically to kidnap and murder children so he can harvest their soul goo and… I dunno become immortal I guess?” is just far too stupid of a concept to take seriously
yea fnaf has lost track so much, especially with the incorporation of stuff from the really weird books It's been doing the thing where the creator just wants to keep making more and more concepts for the series, and they don't have enough of a solid world to build on. so it ends up just being a series of events, but with no reason. it really is just to keep the brand alive

I feel like Scott could stop making fnaf games and be set for the rest of his life. Despite that he writes for the movies books and games, one thing about fnaf is there's a shit ton of passion behind it and most every game Scott has made. I feel like that's the one thing ypu fail to bring up in this video or maybe just misunderstand as a whole it's hard to tell from this video alone.
the way the first game was made was that scott used this specific modeling program, and then each frame in fnaf (this includes foxy running down the hall ESPECIALLY) got rendered, one, by one. if you dont know rendering images in 3d programs then as a video editor it's easier to simplify it to rendering videos, the time it takes to compact all that data into 1 file was horrific for a 2002 computer. and Scott likely used 2d programs cause he was making games WAY back in the late 90s-2000s and especially in a time when a computer couldnt handle such high quality models data being rendered constantly, thus compacting it into 2d frames was the easiest way to go about it. but by 2014 it wasn't and yet now you have to understand, scott is old, he had kids when he made fnaf, he just was used to making games that way and it stuck. idk how he made the other games though, like he might've bought a new computer with fnaf money in 2014, idk.
