My two friends Shazzy and Glevion both have accomplished 200+ WPM in three languages on 10FF. About exactly a month ago, I decided I wanted to join them. I picked Swedish, a language that I set a world record in three years ago at 182 WPM. 200 WPM isn't the most impressive speed anymore nor is Swedish the hardest language to set it in. Still, the unique vowels (pinky MVP), double letters, short words, similar words, make Swedish a tricky language to type at fast speeds, and made it very difficult for me to maintain a good 200 WPM+ pace without screwing up too badly. I can burst up to 220 WPM at times, but keeping that speed is nearly impossible. The 200 WPM mark stayed elusively far away for some weeks straight. However, after listening to Caramelldansen hundreds of times and a few dozen hours of grinding, I am proud to say I set a new world record by 16 WPM in a pretty clean run, and am the third person to reach 200+ WPM in three languages, which are also mutually unintelligible!
The Swedish authorities will be arriving any second to extract the mandatory urine sample! Just kidding! Reinforces my view that INTPs are cybernetically enhanced! 😅
