Like the St annes videos you have done Stephen, born there in 1970, left for the RAF in 1988, still occasionally visit. The Mao Mao & your trip to "The big fence" as we called it at the airport all happy memories, King Georges field used to have the best crown green bowls playing areas on the Fylde coast! Shame to see the town centre so empty of shops, but Ashton gardens is still a gem, i still find visiting the War memorial such an emotional draw, in my opinion the most impressive memorial in the Country. Took me back talking about the Council yard on St Davids, used to do a morning paper round from the shop across the road. Many have already said this ....... but your knowledgeable videos, nothing hidden are a real draw. As a Sandgrownun i refuse to call it Lytham St-annes, keep up the good work mate.

I’m glad I’m not the only person that refuses to call it Lytham St Anne’s
St Anne’s on the sea has it own character, living up in Newcastle now when anyone says Lytham St Anne’s I always correct them and say it like branding Newcastle with Sunderland as one place 😂🤣

I lived in St Annes for almost three years on Victoria Road from 2012 to 2015. It's a decent place to live but it does go deadly quiet past 9.00 p.m. when all the old folks retire to bed. Strangely, you missed the main shopping street which is Wood Street and Orchard St area, where all the pubs and shops are. I also have fond memories of seeing Seve Ballesteros win the Open Championship there in 1988. I was a budding Junior golfer myself back then playing off a low handicap and Seve was my sporting hero.

I lived in St Annes on Cifton Drive and spent many a happy day metal detecting and bird watching along the beach and estuary, if you love the outdoors and you love a clean safe place to spend a few days with great shops, pubs and restaurants St Annes is the place for you, it is steeped in history, beautifully maintained and the gardens are a pleasure to walk around and sit amongst whilst people watching and having a brew, can highly recommend Fairhaven Lake, great little kiosk for a warm cuppa and a cake there too. I remember seeing the tide fully in for the first time one day and it was very strange as the beach usually stretched for quite some distance before the shore line. Really enjoyed watching this series as it bought back happy memories thank you Stephen ❤

Brilliant 3rd part of your St Annes presentation. One thing I must comment on is how clean the streets look! It looks a lovely area to live work and visit! Thanks for your work on all these videos, and look forward to future videos of St Annes later on in the year! Hope you're feeling better soon pal.

Fantastic again Stephen. I grew up in a house just behind the YMCA but it wasn't that big then. In fact there was a park right outside of our front door which we used to play in after school. It's all part of the YMCA buildings now. Walked up St. Albans Rd pretty much every day back then. It's all changed now, no more butchers shop, newsagent or Kerr's sweet shop (in the final block on the left) which was owned by the parents of a school friend of mine. Happy days and thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Really enjoyed these videos, I’ve lived and worked in St Anne’s and they brought back memories. The VW garage was Vauxhall I think before becoming Fairways. I remember getting sandbags from the council yard for the rest home I worked at during floods.
I think St Anne’s is much more appealing because they’ve preserved the tourist areas as they were built and make things nice for the residents…..where Blackpool Clowncil are obsessed with knocking everything down and pleasing the tourist and couldn’t care less about the residents…

The derelict area on St David’s road along with the more modern housing adjacent was formerly the councils gas works and electricity power station (yes St Anne’s had its own power station). The power station was eventually wound down c.1931 once new supplies from Preston were installed, prior to this (1924) Blackpool provided a supply to support them.
Whilst on Blackpool, go to Coop St car park and you’ll see the remains of the 1893 power station, a white and brown tiled wall. On the other side of the car park there is the remains of a lattice steel tower that supported a Telpher Line for coal handling.

Dear Stephen, l enjoyed watching all your three series on St. Annes or"st.Tann" as the locals call it. The last series covers inclusive on residential and industrial areas. Some of these areas l am not quite similar with as the areas are too big to visit ..very interesting places you have shown in your videos especially some outstrips of the town..yes st.Annes is definitely my favourite place to live in. (I have been living in the UK for almost 10 years ).

Enthralling series Stephan. I love St Annes.
Lived there in the late swinging sixties and did a Summer Season at the Pavilion Theatre (Then called 'The Sultans Palace'1968)
Please add another chapter to your tour, and if possible include Clifton Drive.
Also my first luxury apartment on Richmond Road (I think it is a solicitors now?)
I then moved into a top floor pent house (Braxfield), with the Majestic Hotel opposite and a great view of the pier. Replaced now with gross overpriced modern flats
This series is so well done and brought many happy memories.
