Gameover Ent The song alone is what makes it amazing. I'm not saying that's why it's #1. But the song, the destroyed city, and the feeling of hopelessness makes it so sad and emotional. So I agree with you. It deserves to be top of the list.

Mad World is easily my favorite video game trailer of all time. Every time I watch it it gives me chills. I don't think I'll ever like a trailer nearly as much as I do this one.

God damn those Halo 3 trailers and ads. ODST too. All of them were exceptional. The Halo 3 announcement trailer, the Starry Night Superbowl trailer, the live action ODST trailer...just brilliant.

I think the Wii announcement deserved at least an honorable mention, it was memorable, it sold well to mature audiences and has one of the best japanese instrumental songs in history!!

The "Tuck and Roll Grandma" commercial was hilarious. Also the PS3 Gran Turismo 5 commercial was great.

I knew that the Gears of War commercial was going to be number one. I remember when I first saw it, I was blown away.

I know there's a crap ton of great videos to chose from, but I'm genuinely blown away that Dead Island's trailer that plays in reverse wasn't on this list. The game might of been absolute garbage, but that was probably the best video game trailer I've ever seen in my life.

To sum up one of my favorite ads for a game, one only needs two words: "Ich Will."
Though it was not made until after this video was, the Destroy All Humans remake is damn awesome. Its ad does what an ad is supposed to, give you an idea what the game is about even without gameplay. It has action, it has aliens, and it has anachronistic references. Furon Cryptosporidium 137 invades the 50s movie parody town of Rockwell, blowing stuff up, dropping cows on farmers and hypnotizing the people. But at least he also gives them a rocking good time as he lip synchs to Rammstein before zapping them. But what I love about it is that it excites fans of the old games while ironically not alienating potential new fans by being vague. (Duke Nukem 3D trilogy, anyone?) It was so cool a remake of the beloved sequel was guaranteed. Again set to Rammstein! Please let all Destroy all Humans sequels be advertised with Rammstein from now on!

I do agree that all of those commercials were badass, even I myself was filled with nostalgia seeing the #2 pick with all the great characters from Nathan to Ezio, I even found myself chanting 'Michael' for the fun of it. The Honorable mentions were certainly honorable as well. I don't know if these were ever shown on television but two of my other favorites were the Halo 5 trailer, and the Destiny trailer as they fought the song "Black Dog". Its like you said, the music can make the trailer.
