this is one of the rawest JM interviews i've seen. i guess cos it's in england and he feels safe.. so many moments when he was low key trolling and no one seemed to pick up on it as well
God that was a fantastic accent :P And to contradict the interviewer, he's selling out ARENAS and broke the top 50 with his latest album. He must have a pretty significant fanbase here, wouldn't you say?!
Hey, It's Todd, How's it going!? Saw you were a fan of this fun music and thought you might dig my original songs. Mind checking out my brand new music video "Nintendo" and letting me know what you think? Head on over to my channel. Hope you dig! -Todd Carey
I was embarrassed to hear Ben Jones interviewing him. its clear her hass no idea who mayer is. this guys favourite band is nickleback for god sake. "I never really been able to play guitar! please!" and take off the goddamn cap, what is this the 80's!? OC rules!
"Is it because we invented rock music?" Wow... if that was serious he is very wrong. Bill Haley and his Comets were American. Also, Chuck Berry and Little Richard were American. Elvis of course as well. Who does Britain have over these performers?
***** Nah, 'cause all those bands you can name were influenced by the rock music that had already originated in the States. Elvis for example was doing his thing before the Beatles were ever heard of.
And influences can be traced back again and again to the beginning of time, Jazz came about by breaking the conventional rules of Classical music, but we don't say that Jazz technically originated in Europe. If we're speaking strictly of 'Rock' as a genre then I would say that was a British invention, made up of what was already available of course.
I get what you're saying about Elvis doing what he did before the Beatles, and he and other American Rock n Roll people of the time obviously had a hand in shaping the Beatles sound. But because of how they used what they listened to and developed it further into more closely what the majority of people would consider Rock today, yeah I would have to say the Beatles.
i love how real John is no matter the situation ♥

So who would you say was the first rock band?
