If there's anything I understood when this phone came out and I saw the design, was that it did not only fall below the "safe" option, it managed to fall lower. It now tried to be an iPhone.
      It folded. Shame.

@@archiox0628 It is clearly aimed at the iPhone population. They brought the design closer to the pro max, polished the fluidity of the OS, have crazy high numbers on benchmarks and the biggest focus is on AI, the one point Apple failed in their last launch.

@@archiox0628for me this is the biggest turn off, their Galaxy watch Ultra got me to start looking at other brands more, no rotating bezel, looks like a fake apple watch off Temu, Samsung isn't going to stay in the game by copying Apples homework, if it weren't for the Note Apples phones wouldn't have jumped in size so fast, I still think of innovation when I think of Samsung but rn it's just freaking sad, the only hope I have is in their flip/fold line which is getting riddled with iPhone aesthetic interface :-/

The squared off design is quite nice , you could make the assertion that you he pixels also took design cues from the iPhones , and as a pixel and an iPhone owner I'm a fan of the brick style😊.
The AI stuff , a big percentage of it is quite gimmicky , and a lot of it is getting transffered to older models the instant you use Google search , even my dear old note 9 is getting some Gemini .
I have Google apps on my iPhone , but most days I rarely find a use for that stuff.
And according to Samsung the AI or parts of it will be going subscription based by the end of the year , absolutely zero interest on my part to pay for another bloody subscription .@@jtt7784

6000mAh batteries are made only by Chinese vendors. Samsung soft-exited the Chinese market a while back so it'd have been difficult for them to procure the sheer volume of Si-C batteries needed for the S25 series. Mind you, Samsung flagships sell in far greater numbers than Chinese flagships.

If anyone is willing to accept this gross display of greed and fact thay Samsung knows people are shills, they have no business gasping at Sony Xperia prices since they actually pack everything we used to get in a phone. But it objectively ain't worth anywhere near that much.

I dont care how it compares to the s24, i dont care how little they changed this year, all i care about is whats different and how well theyve done the incremental changes. I always see videos every year saying phones never change year to year, and i dont know why people get so damn pissed that they change very little when thats all technology, small incremental changes until new tech comese out to make a bigger leap and then back to it. Phones, cars, TVs, headphones, everything. all small changes that add up over the years. I personally think this phone is going to be a massive change if youre uograding from either die after 2+ years like myself and MOST of the people buying a new phone are. Most people arent getting the newest phone every single year, time after time.

The thing is bud , for the average as ge user that uses the phone camera for happy snaps , you could still get quite a decent photo out of a galaxy S8+ , what I'm saying is , what ever smartphone you buy today , most will take very good photos and videos that you still won't notice a difference unless you pixel peep.
And when you buy a new phone , two things you always expect, a newer processor and some camera tweaks , plus a bit of cosmetic stuff .
And you get those , as well as losing a handy long time feature , which is now the second one on the S pen .
When you tag a phone with the name " Ultra" and then take features away , and Samsung has taken a boat load away in recent years , it's not a good look.

  • @chickenpie9698
    @chickenpie9698 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Eh, this is iterative at best.
When the Ultra line first came along, there was genuinely something new in the camera system. The following year, they merged the Note line by adding the stylus which felt like a decent step forward. I think the massive issue now is that these phones no longer have the same weight as the old Note series which was viewed as the ultimate device which could do everything you wanted. Thus phone and the previous few models just feel like Samsung trying to charge as much as they can while stripping features - I guess there are software advances but these tend to trickle down, over the years we've lost things like removable batteries, headphone jacks, expandable storage and now even a fucking battery and Bluetooth in the stylus. You don't even get modern advancements like bigger battery capacities or faster changing speeds so it's starting to feel like this phone just isn't worthy of the whole 'Ultra' name, it's more like something that is the result of cost shavings instead of anything that could actually be considered worthy of a true power user.
I have the S22 Ultra and aside from age related battery wear, it's still incredibly competent despite all that I throw at it. I need to see either game changing battery life or some of the older features being added back in before I bother upgrading. The best value upgrade is can forsee currently is a new battery and that's just a depressing state of affairs for the somebody who used to live and breathe tech. Gone are the days where you could actually get a product which met your needs and had the potential to grow with you and your needs, it seems we're stuck with attempts at extracting the maximum amount of our hard earned cash while trying to carefully retain the features which we'll kick off less of a fuss over.

The oppo find x8 pro is amazing tho, the zoom lens is better same goes for the periscope. But, i prefer the 200mp sensor and also the ultrawide. Dark mode shots are better on the samsung too.
Battery life is about the same in my opinion. I dont really notice a diffrence comparing the find x8 pro to the s25 ultra.

I'd like a practical phone that i can put in my pocket. You can go and see the size of that one inch sensor you guys keep praising. Until it can become practical please keep it out. People also forgot about the total rework of one ui and giving new software features. They fixed the two things purple were complaining about, the animating and the squared corners but it got no praise. And after this they'll ask 'why companies don't listen to us?' i mean why would they if they do and still get criticism. And why would you need a 6k mah battery when you are going to charge it anyways at the end of day and it can most def last a day. I would most def like to see advancements in the ip ratings and they should give options for smaller versions without the spen and they have Bluetooth support in the one they do put in.

@FlubFlubber but why tell people u get 7 years of updates if u keep the phone and at the same time don't give them the hardware so it is future proof this is a clear contradiction and pretty scummy behaviour...
If oneplus 13 can give u 16gb ram for less money samsung has absolutely no excuses to not do the same if they demand more money.
And this clearly shows this phone is a scam it doesn't even take itself seriously because if samsung would they had to give u a better battery tech and more ram so u don't run into problems by the time u reach the end of those 7 years.
The fact I can come up with this obvious design decision shows samsung should not be rewarded because they deliver bad tech on purpose no way such a big company does such things by accident.
And this shows this phone is a waste of money good for samsung but not the consumer because he pays more than he should...

S25 ultra is not misunderstood. It is just that Apple is a very sore loser and all the sheep swalowed its fairy tale once again , all of it. This world is in decadence , what would you expect?
Even considering only the snapdragon 8 elite inside the s25 ultra, it is a very worthy upgrade.
But it is not that it has only a new SOC. It has premium materials and premium quality in just
about every millimeter in the three dimensions. It is a premium product . You may not like some
decisions , but that's all about it.
Just because Apple says S24 ultra is very good(actually only a small incremental upgrade with an overclocked snapdragon 8 gen 2 , just christened as snapdragon 8 gen 3 for the occasion) , does not mean it is .
I am currently on an s23 ultra and would not just buy a new smartphone yet because it is still like new.
But if I wanted to buy one , I would consider a great stupidity to buy the s24 ultra. That one was just an
attempt from samsung to milk the unsuspecting until it gets its hands on the shiny and goldie lithography of TSMC(n3e). It is also the reason I did not upgrade my old s tablet to the s10(only a worthless snapdragon 8 gen 3 SOC, inside).
Facts are facts . Android phones , including Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra are rocking Apple's Ivory Tower really hard.
They have proven they can build just as good phones when they have access to all materials equally.
The hilarious thing is though , that they do not propose an alternative that is mostly on par with iphones, but an alternative that is in many aspect superior.
Yes , apple has an 8 percent lead in single core performance and is still more efficient , but that's 3-4 hours more battery life on what is already a huge battery life 1,5 days of average usage.
Except from the above most flagship androids have humiliated Apple who now eats their dust:
better multicore performance , bigger RAM, bigger storage, cheaper , better cameras, better AI,
significantly superior GPUs, significanlty superior NPUs. Better interface to be used like a desktop
replacement. Most of them still offer the charger(yeah like this is the reason we have environmental
catstrophe- the definition of stupid since you will buy a new charger anyway at an additional cost).
But at Apple they swallowed their tongues. So, if you can't beat them and boast you are faster what do you do?
But of course, denigrate them. Find real and imaginary misses and go hard in propaganda.

Lack of ip69 ,lack of bluetooth in the Spen, lack of siliconcarbide batteries, rounded corners and "only" 12 gb of base RAM?
      Really?
Meanwhile not one great "tech guru" mention anything about DeX.
The price is bad but it will be fixed by the market sooner ot later. Not one guru also focused on price. But they are not gurus , they are product advertizers.
And I repeat , i did not see any "user" complain this much about s24 ultra which was the real iterative product. If Samsung was very honest it could keep producing the s23 ultra. The s24 one was just an excuse to command a new price premium . Which is the case with s25. But here the premium is too high even if justified.

Cooments here are from the people who did not upgrade and comparing spec sheets and finding no drastic change.
I have just upgraded from S23U and have been using S25U for 5 days.
    Here are my thoughts:
I use Pen to do document signs or video /photo editing where instead of zooming, i can point using the pen. I never in my life used any Bluetooth feature, only good one was remote shutter, but it was pain to get the pen out and than put it back in. Instead Showing your Open palm works everey single time and is soi easy to use.
So yes Spen all basic important functions are there.
    2. I find the AI integration realy good, 7yrs update means i will move this phone within my family for atleast 5-6 yrs.
    3. It is just overall faster and i have not touched S23U , gave to wife.
    4. It is lighter and easier to handle , on specsheet it might seems bogus, but i can literally feel the difference. Including the screen, i loved that now i can use any screen protector.
    5. As i slapped a protector so the non reflective screen Thing is useless for me.
    6. Cpu is a very big upgrade and i dont know why peolle not finding it important? I'm a PC guy so for me motherboard and cpu/GPU are the most important parts and where most of the money goes. And S25 is giving u that.
    7. I have used 8k and 4k video recording and did not saw the stutter, in S23 the small stutters were there now and then. As i use video extensively in 4k 60p and 8k so it was important for me. I use sony a6700 for photos.
    8. The camera lens have anti flair coating, so less flairing under the sun.
    9. I slap cases on phone so dont care about material but more toughness is always better not that i will test it lol
Overall i feel i did the right thing after upgrading. This phone feels very polished. If u r after numbers than wait for S26 ot 27. U will get new hard ware and will be used as test subjetcs.(Samsung track records says that) I will be buying S28 or S29 when everything will be polished like S25.

Yes the S25 Ultra should have had much more hardware upgrades, but honestly apart from the 6000mAh battery🔋 on Chinese Android smartphones, what are the hardware upgrades that justify smartphones like the OnePlus 13 and Pixel 9 Pro XL having seen price increases, or smartphones like the Oppo Find X8 Pro, Vivo X200 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max being as expensive if not more expensive than the S25 Ultra 🤔
Not to mention the fact that in reality and despite the Galaxy's slightly higher Msrp compared to others, thanks to deals, trade-in, careers deals, gifts and other coupons, in North America and Europe (the markets really targeted by the Galaxy S) people pay much less for a Galaxy than for an iPhone counterpart and even for a Vivo, OnePlus, Oppo... 🤷🏽‍♂️

You never take away what given for free ,most people like my sister never used s-pen as a stylus but as a photo snapper .taking away most unique think about ur s-pen to make more sell at watch and what not is nothing else but greed
Also JUST BECAUSE UR TAKE IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DOESN'T ALWAYS MEANT IT IS COOL , U R JUST BEING RETARED .
