Thank you! I am just about to the point that I will stop experimenting and settle in on 3 or 4 tone woods for the time I might have left to build. I just turned 75 so the clock is not in my favor.
That's some damn fine work there Earl! I'm impressed with the consistent tone you managed to get from them all. But I'm totally smitten with the orange wood guitar. I've worked on tons of used guitars as well as repairs on them and new ones but I'm thinking I want orange wood for my first full build. Thanks for the tour!!
Thank you kindly Robert. Here is a tip you probably already know...but anyway. If you decide to build your first guitar with Osage Orange, I highly recommend that the box be glued together in January or February when the humidity is usually at the yearly low point. Reason being that the Osage Orange is kind of split prone. How do I know? My first build out of this wood split in several areas. I had glued it up in early summer.. I saved the top and it is on the one see here. Glued it up in February and not had any issues with it this time
@@earlsinstrumentsandtunes9732 Sound advice Earl. I live in Santa Fe, NM at 7000 feet elevation. I've seen humidity here in the single digits. I have often thought about th e timing of a build re: humidity, as a way to minimize cracks...thanks for the affirmation!!
Thank you! Martin built some guitars out of ash back in the 1980's. I played one at our local music store. It was a D15 if I remember correctly. It had a good sound.
Wow! Those are some amazing tone woods! Beautiful 🤩

The Curly Ash has a very distinct sound. Fantastic workmanship on all of the guitars.

Earl they are all stunning and it would take all week to pick a favorite! Golden guitars for sure.
Thank you! Glad you liked the video!
I think I like the sassafras 🐥
Thanks for commenting! I like it as good as any I have ever made myself.
Wow. Will watch, again, from start to finish. Can't even comment on which is my favorite.
Glad you liked it.
Thats a great collection of work. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Rodney! I have four more new ones I need to make a video of. Honduran rosewood, indian laurel, pau ferro, another curly ash.

Very nice work like them all.
Thank you Samuel. It was fun building them out of different woods.
Earl haven’t got a very good ear but to me i think the Ash sounded good to me, thanks for the video you sure do great work
Most comments agree with yu about the Ash. It is almost aways in the top 3.
Hello. Do you sell any guitars that you make? I would really like to have that L-00.
