Omg you perfectly described what i always feel about Ive’s older songs, it’s like they are hiding something sinister or creepy, and it makes you want to know what it is, it’s alluring (I also want Dive’s to start a petition to change the light stick into this wand 😭)
I think accendio is also a title track not a b side along side heya
I still don’t underhand how there can be two title tracks on an album? can you explain? Is it just that 2 songs are promoted than one? cos I’ve seen other groups promote b sides but not call them title tracks so it’s confusing!
@@fifizappareactsit’s a thing kpop groups are doing more and more often. companies call “title” the tracks they intend to promote. it’s probably just a marketing strategy to grab more views, because people are more interested in checking out title tracks than bsides. this still doesn’t make much sense to me
@@fifizappareacts So for a double title they should technically be getting equal promotion (music show stages, MV quality/budget, playlisting etc) sort of like How You Like That/ Lovesick Girls. For a promoted bside its usually less of all that and the song is inherently less title track-like. Bsides usually wont get stage sets or as many stages.
Double title tracks is having two lead singles basically lets take ariana for example yes and? Is a single so is we cant be friends and soon the boy is mine is a single, its will get promoted they planned it. And b-sides that get promoted is because its trending and they usually just perform it@@fifizappareacts

i actually like this MV analysis for Accendio by @/aidollze. it's actually makes so much sense:
The music video motif is mirror and reflections which can be seen in DOPPELGANGER and WATER themes. "ACCENDIO" is a singular of "Accendium" which mean "a setting on fire", following the motif, just as there is a dark and good version of IVE the mirror opposite of FIRE is WATER. WATER is the MAIN DOMAIN of these entities, dark!Yujin creates a portal to a place to fight magic!IVE where it's surrounded by an endless ocean.
The MV begins with Leeseo ascending from the WATER, as if she was being 'REBORN' into a different person and Wonyoung urges Gaeul to join them. They all look at Gaeul with indifference like she's a prey, but Gaeul notices that something is wrong with the water and these are not her friends. As soon as they notice that she knows their identities, they hide in their domain. Rei counts the seconds to undo the possession since they've been caught and needs to flee. They can't complete their motive if someone knows their real identities. The girls seem to return to normal after leaving the water. Not having any recollection of being possessed, the girls look for Gaeul as she just disappeared from their perspective.
The DOPPELGANGERS' motive is to replace the real IVE girls. There may be two versions but in front of a MIRROR, only one is a REAL person and the other is just a REFLECTION. Gaeul sets out to find a solution to protect themselves and sees dark!IVE summoning an item that will grant their desires. This magic wand turns them into magic girls, now their hearts are shielded and protected, but it's only effective as long as they have the wand in their possession. So the fight begins...
Just as magic!IVE has a time limit to get the magic force, it's the same for dark!IVE who has a limit of until when they can keep their human forms. magic!IVE couldn't gain the magic force but dark!IVE also couldn't get the magic wand. And so they return to their original forms (rats).
Since the limit time passed, the wand has no bearer hence teleports to the ocean (it's domain). This wand only grants the desire of the bearer.
Since children are pure and innocent, they possess no threat to their safety and no longer need to protect themselves. The magic fades and the IVE girls return to normal.

There's also someone pointed out that the MV might be the reinterpretation of korean folktale 'The Mouse that Ate Fingernails' where the mice ate the man's fingernails and stole his shadow and life.

If you want to see the choreo more, check out their M Countdown performance they just did today, it’s great, the little ka ka ka, voguing moments are sooo cute and their stage presence was great. This song is sooo good, the more I listen to it the more I think I might like it even more than Heya, it feels more like them, it’s dark & hypnotic and sooo addicting.

Yes I also felt dissatisfied when they only showed half of the choreo of the dancebreak. I mean in baddie, they gave emphasis on the dancebreak so it was great.
Just checked out their mnet performance and I might have expected too much on the dance break (like you, I expected some pretty extreme arm choreo, or floorworks even) but it felt a bit lackluster. Might just be me as well.
Same I think the choreo was messy since they are 6 members and it's because the heya was ended 😢

The expression and direction of the children's mood change are interesting, and the fights are beautiful and not violent, which seems very desirable. Theory: Gaeul fled because, remember, she was wearing a float of unicorn, which means she probably can't swim, so afraid girls pulling her to water, fled to the bicycle forest. There she found an identical group to them, only from evil, making a ritual with her wand and she decided to get even not knowing her power and takes home, is followed by the villains who want to take their place. The battle for the wand and those of good win, as it spent two minutes of noon, the wand disappears and goes to another destination, since they lost the deadline of protecting, so the wand found a new place randomly, and how how A pure and innocent little girl and was the first to get stuck in her, the wand loses power, because it is impossible for the child to understand what is except a toy. This is one of my favorite MVs. Gauel, being the main character, is simply perfect and the plot, editing, clothing and makeup are simply fabulous and elegant. Thank you for this higher reaction ..
